Meet Nesa (And Sina): Nesa, originally from Iran, has been in New Zealand since 2011. Nesa was previously a successful dentist for 8 years and along with her new life in beautiful NZ came a change of career. Nesa’s passion for osteopathy goes back to her dentistry profession as she often had patients complaining of teeth/jaw symptoms without any major dental issue(s). Nesa was wondering if those pains and symptoms could originate from other areas. This encouraged her to do more research on Osteopathy as an approach that believes that the body functions as a “whole” and not as isolated departments. Her first intention in studying Osteopathy was to focus on TMJ (jaw) pain and toothache, but now she truly believes in the whole philosophy that “the body functions as a holistic unit”. Nesa has also undertaken additional training in lymphatic drainage techniques and is passionate about helping her patients and providing different treatment plans dependent on patients’ conditions.
