🚶‍♂️ Is the rubber tip on your walking stick worn out? It might be time to replace it!

The rubber base (ferrule) on a walking stick is the main point of contact with the ground. When it wears down, it can reduce grip and stability — increasing the risk of slips and falls.

Why replacing it matters:

✅ Better Safety – A worn tip loses traction and can slip, especially on wet or smooth surfaces.
✅ More Comfort – A new rubber tip absorbs shock and reduces strain on your hands, wrists, and shoulders.
✅ Protects Your Walking Stick – The ferrule protects the bottom of the stick from damage.

Signs it’s time for a new tip:
🔹 The tread is worn flat
🔹 Cracks or splits in the rubber
🔹 The metal shaft is showing
🔹 The tip feels loose or uneven

💡 Tip: Check your walking stick base regularly. Most ferrules should be replaced every 6–12 months, depending on use.
