If there is a negative habit, addiction, or problem that keeps repeatedly showing up in your life this is often a sign that there’s a lesson to be learnt or you’re not getting to the root cause of the issue. I’m a strong believer in “if you’re having the experience, then you must need the lesson”.

What repeated signals has your body been giving you in regards to your health? Low mood or anxiety? Worsening exhaustion? Sleeping too long or can’t sleep enough? Digestive pain, constipation, diarrhoea or bloating? Acne, eczema & allergies all getting worse?

Anyone with a uterus or ovaries at birth is born with all the eggs (gametes/oocytes) they’ll ever have- approximately 1-2 million 🤯

From there, it’s a downhill ride losing about 10,000 eggs every month. By the time they reach puberty, about 300,000 eggs remain and egg loss slows to around 1000/month.

You cannot create anymore eggs throughout your lifetime so take care of the ones you’ve got. Despite popular beliefs, healthy eggs are NOT just important for the purposes of conception /pregnancy. Healthy follicular development is essential for promoting regular ovulation, balanced hormones and overall health (think healthy skin, digestion, bones, mood & sleep) in all menstruating people.

So next time you see your grandma… thank her for taking good care of her eggs and allowing you to exist in this world 🌏🥚🙏🏾

This week over on stories we’ve been talking alot about this meal time checklist I use with my WWW clients. A lot of you found this helpful, so I’ve put these tips into a post for you to refer back to regularly (you’re welcome!) 😇

I love that the checklist still allows for flexibility in our approach to nutrition. The goal is to check off all 3 items- however it’s also okay if sometimes, meals only meet 2 criteria.

For example:
Simple meals that you also enjoy:
Hellooo ramen pots, toasted sandwich lunches & week night dinner takeaways 😬

Or meets nutritional goals + you enjoy them:
Think homemade pasta, Sunday roast with all the trimmings or that raw cheesecake recipe that require 36hrs of nut soaking 🤣

On theme with our last post about consistency- it’s not what we do SOME do the time, it’s what we do MOST of the time that counts. Aim to hit the checklist 80% of the time… the other 20% is negligible AKA freedom 💁🏾‍♀️ IMO - that’s not reckless, it’s realistic 🙌🏾

Whilst acting with intensity or being “consistently intense” might sound good in theory… it’s also a great way to burn out. Being consistent means showing up everyday regardless of the intensity.

So many of us go really hard with the best intentions at the start (high intensity💨💨💨) but then motivations fizzles out and the goals we were once so excited to achieve become yet another forgotten resolution to pick up again next week, next month or next year 😞👎🏾

Whether your goal is to lose weight, to cook more nutritious meals or to go to bed earlier… we all know it’s only human nature for us occasionally slip off the wagon. But here’s the thing… no one expects you to be perfect ! You’re going to mess up and life’s going to happen. You’re going to make mistakes. But if you can commit to (imperfectly) showing up for yourself every single day…healthy habits & meaningful change will always follow in suit 🙌🏾 CONSISTENCY > INTENSITY 💪🏾
