We recently had the privilege of facilitating a memorial service in the award-winning Bishop Selwyn Chapel, located at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Parnell. The chapel’s expansive glass walls and radiant gold ceiling created an atmosphere of serenity and elegance. Holy Trinity Cathedral have been great supporters of Sands New Zealand, by lighting our Cathedral as part of the Sands NZ Light Up Aotearoa campaign each year, and by hosting Annual Baby Loss Remembrance services. We feel deeply the importance of supporting bereaved whānau each year in this way.

This Sunday, we will host the Sands Baby Loss Remembrance Service again and warmly welcome all for whom this time of year is especially difficult:

Date: Sunday 12 October 2025
Time: Service starts at 1:30pm
Venue: Bishop Selwyn Chapel

This service will provide an opportunity to meet with other bereaved parents and family members, honour our babies, light a candle in their memory, tie a ribbon on the Sands remembrance heart and be together.

There will be light refreshments available after the service. Children and families of all belief systems are welcome.
