Ode to Dr Barbara Brennan, who passed away peacefully yesterday. credit for this pic, thank you healing brother. 🕊🙌🏼 Barbara was a physicist for NASA, working at the Goddard Space centre, before becoming best selling author of Hands of Light, Light Emerging & Core Light Healing, and founder of Barbara Brennan School of Healing.
From Humble beginnings she gained a Masters in Atmospheric physics at Wisconsin University, her Professor was on JF Kennedy’s Science advisory board. She designed and built the omnidirectional infrared radiometer that was flown on Tiros 111 satellite, only the third launched by the US in history. She built, tested & calibrated remote sensing instruments that flew in the Nimbus 2 Satellite. She flew on the non-gravitational aircraft, ‘Galileo’ where she measured the difference’s between radiated and reflected light from Earth’s surfaces in 5 wave length bands, ultra violet to infrared ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum. In the late 60’s she became interested in human potential movements, such as women and black rights, so decided to swap her exploration of outer space to inner space. She trained in many forms of psychotherapy including with John Pierrakos who came from an educated line following Wilhelm Reich & Freud. Together John & Barbara began to measure the Human Energy Field. Barbara saw beyond the chakras, she discovered the levels of the field with their psychological functions, as well as the intention dimension (Hara) and the soul or essence level (core Star). She coined the phrases HSP (High Sense Perception) and HEF (Human Energy Field), normalising extra sensory perception in a grounded & scientific way.
I met her in 2001, at age 25, after reading her book, got myself on a plane and flew to America. I was terrified, cried all the way!! It was only 3 weeks after 9/11, but it was meant to be, as I am still to this day, carrying on her work, through my busy healing practice. This year is special, in the 40th year of BBSH, I’m so grateful to be teaching at the newly opened BB school in Australia. She said she always wanted a school in AU/NZ so I feel honoured to be part of her vision.
She was my hero, teacher, mentor, and inspiration for my business & purpose in life, I feel so grateful & blessed to have been able to learn directly from her, and to be able to pass on her legacy. To you Barbara, thank you, for being the ground-breaker, the steadfast buster of all illusions, Illuminating this world to the truth of who we really are.
