“Great opportunity to fulfil a new role as a ‘Practice Pharmacist’ to provide evidence based pharmaceutical care directly to people and their whānau. Being able to see our people achieve their health targets by providing them with the best management of medication treatments, gives me great satisfaction.”

Hobbies outside of general practice?
“Music 🎵, Badminton 🏸 and Home DIY projects.”

March rolled around and all of a sudden it feels like winter! 🥶❄️

The dreaded flu season is upon us, and we’re here to make sure you get back to feeling your best as quickly as possible if you become unwell 😷🦠🤒

From Monday 16th March, our Nurse Prescribers will be available 9am - 12pm to accommodate walk in appointments for when you’ve woken up feeling like the Flu has hit you over the head, your throat is on fire 🔥 or your nose is feeling like a tap you can’t turn off! 🤧

We’ve listened, and we’re here to provide you with accessible healthcare when you need it most.

Please note, walk ins are STRICTLY for acute issues only. If you require a repeat prescription, follow up of blood tests etc - you will be advised to book an appointment.

12 Month Prescriptions | What you need to know 💊

From 1 February 2026, some people with stable, long-term health conditions (if clinically appropriate) may be eligible for a 12 months’ supply.

Am I eligible?
🟢 Talk to your General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner.
🟢 Your condition and medication dose must have been stable for at least 6 months.
🟢 You don't need regular monitoring (e.g blood pressure checks or blood tests)
🟢 The medicine you are taking is approved for 12-month prescribing.
🟢You agree to have an annual in-person review to make sure your medicine is still right for you.

How does it work?
🔵You'll still collect three months of medication at a time from your pharmacy of choice, even if you have a 12-month prescription.
🔵It is important to use the same pharmacy for the full 12 months, or you'll need a new prescription.

The final decision about whether a 12-month prescription is safe and appropriate for you sits with your prescriber. In some cases, a 6-month prescription may be a safer option.
