The Calder Chiropractic centre specializes in Applied Kinesiology addressing the whole person by looking at the chemical, structural and emotional triad of health to achieve quicker and longer lasting results. All our Chiropractors are trained in many Chiropractic techniques including Functional Neurology, Neuro Emotional Technique, Sports Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Retained Primitive Reflexes and

Haemaview. All the Chiropractors are certified in Applied Kinesiology and manual muscle testing. Using a range of techniques the Doctor of Chiropractic will identify the cause of your pain or dysfunction, and any associated areas that may be involved (for example neck and jaw problems that may cause headaches. Our Clinic also addresses nutritional factors as well as the brains speed and accuracy in positioning the body in its environment, to both facilitate as well as aid in recovery. The cause of your pain or dysfunction is often due to misinformation in the nervous system (brain, spinal cord and nerves) either locally or within the spine, as the nervous system controls all of the body's functions, including its ability to fight off disease. The other common cause of pain or dysfunction is a breakdown of tissues (loss of strength and resulting injury) due to either inadequate nutritional absorption or a lack of nutrients in the diet. The body requires a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals to maintain health and fight off injury and disease, however if a breakdown occurs we often need a boost in these essential nutrients to recover quickly. Due to nutrient depletion in soils and the increasing amount of processing in foods we often lack the ability to absorb enough nutrient content from our diet alone, and therefore giving the right nutrition can speed recovery and help prevent future injury. There are also emotional and mental factors which play a part in pain and dysfunction and we are able to address these as well. We consider your whole being in order to help you achieve effective and long term health optimisation.

Our doors might have closed at our old address, but we're now proudly situated just 300m away, at Ascent Chiropractic, located at 4 Bute Rd, Browns Bay. You'll find us easily—just look for the Browns Bay library and we're downstairs in the Victor Apartments.

Dear Patients and Friends,

We hope this message finds you well. As you may already know, a significant flood event occurred at the Calder Chiropractic Center on January 28th. This unfortunate incident necessitates some important changes to our operations and practice setting.

We are about to begin the substantial repair and renovation work on August 28th, after a preparatory phase starting on August 21st. The process inevitably brings about disruptions, including noise, dust, and smells that we recognize could potentially be uncomfortable, especially for those of our patients who deal with headaches, migraines, or have chemical sensitivities. Considering your well-being and comfort, we've made the necessary decision to move our operations from this location.

Please be assured, however, that your care remains our priority. Calder Chiropractic will continue to operate, providing all services from a new location - Unit H, Victor Apartments, 4 Bute Road, Browns Bay, within the Ascent Chiropractic office. In addition to these changes, Andrew Calder, who has served you all with exceptional care and dedication since 1982, will be transitioning into a well-deserved retirement. His contributions to our practice have been invaluable. On the other hand, Carina Calder, along with our committed team, will continue to provide excellent care at Accent Chiropractic.

In an effort to ensure a smooth transition, we will be in touch to move existing appointments. We are also adding the option for you to book online (instructions to follow).

We do ask that you complete a new patient questionnaire as this step is necessary to effectively transfer your records into the new system, you won't incur any new patient charges for this. Your understanding during this period is greatly appreciated.

While our location is changing, our dedication to you remains unshaken.
