Did you know that in small doses and short bursts, stress can be useful? π˜—π˜³π˜°π˜π˜°π˜―π˜¨π˜¦π˜₯ stress on the other hand can negatively impact you on multiple levels, including your mental and physical well-being.

Stress is inherently related to your survival instinct, and can impact how you breathe and carry tension in the body, as well as affecting the immune system and organ functions. Furthermore, when your body is putting all its energy into the stress response, it takes away from your body's innate ability to heal. It’s the seesaw affect of being in 𝘧π˜ͺ𝘨𝘩𝘡 𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘭π˜ͺ𝘨𝘩𝘡 mode vs 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘡 𝘒𝘯π˜₯ π˜₯π˜ͺ𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘡 mode. When one is dominant, the other is repressed. Prolonged stress can also lead to burn-out, which is your body's way of telling you it's had enough and needs you to slow down.

Managing stress is an important part of living a full, happy and healthy life. By releasing areas of tension in your body, facilitating better breathing, and calming the nervous system, your Osteopath is able to give your body a moment to just β€˜be’, and a chance to rest and heal.

Neck pain and headaches are another thing that Osteopaths commonly see in practice πŸ™† Did you know that sometimes your neck can also be the cause of your headaches? Pain in these areas can be caused by a number of things, including acute injury, posture, and stress-related tension.

Osteopaths approach the body from both a local and global point of view, so when you see your Osteopath they'll find and treat any underlying musculoskeletal causes of your pain.

Babies can be incredibly resilient, but sometimes they need a helping hand to adjust to life outside the womb 🀲 Because they can't use words to tell you what's wrong, they may show discomfort through crying, irritability, poor sleep, difficulty feeding, digestive upset, or generally being unsettled.

Using gentle hands-on treatment, Osteopaths can help babies recover from birth complications, support their digestive systems, improve difficulties with feeding, and also refer for any specialist care if required.
