Recently at Kenderdine Park... we were honoured to celebrate Audrey’s 102nd Birthday!!!

In 102 years, Audrey must have seen, heard, and learned so much — what a long life of wisdom, stories, and delicious cake - like this one we all shared. 🤭💕🎂🥳🌟

An excellent field trip to the Papatoetoe Historical Society Museum! Our residents loved seeing things they haven't seen in a long time. Pictures, goods, & equipment that reminded them of their childhoods, & connected them to memories they thought were long forgotten. I loved seeing their smiles & faces full of nostalgia. 🖼🚂👒🏺

The staff at the museum were so helpful & hospitable and Kenderdine Park is very grateful this special museum is just around the corner. 🚐🔆♥️

🎉🎂 A special milestone 🎂🎉

Recently we celebrated our lovely Noho’s 80th birthday! 🥳 She's known for her quiet, friendly nature, and it was a joy to mark this wonderful occasion with her. 💐💛

Noho cut the first piece of cake herself 🎂✨ — and we made sure to keep everything in her favourite colour 💙 right down to the cake and candle.

Happy 80th Birthday, Noho — here’s to many more happy and healthy years ahead! 🌸🐻🌹

💙 Happy Father’s Month 💙

Our Dads were a little camera-shy this year, so instead we’re sharing photos of our celebration and those who dearly miss and love their dads! 💐

A heartfelt thank you to Ruby for her touching speech and her delicious lamb lunch enjoyed by all!

And of course, a big shout-out to Jasma, Rosy, and our amazing HCAs who helped make this Father’s Day lunch so special.

We’ve had a few people ask how we use the fresh veggies we grow—and the answer is: deliciously! 😋

Today’s harvest included homegrown lettuce, leeks, and tomatoes, which made their way straight from the garden to the kitchen… and into some seriously tasty sandwiches for our lovely residents. 🥪❤️

We like to think of ourselves as wannabe urban farm-to-table pros—one sandwich at a time! 😄👩‍🌾👨‍🍳

✨ “We were so touched to receive these beautiful flowers and a heartfelt card from a very sweet family whose much-loved grandmother recently passed. During her time here, she was often surrounded by visits from her great-grandbabies, filling our halls with joy and laughter.

In moments of grief, it’s humbling to know that the care and compassion our staff give every day made a difference. We’re so grateful to be entrusted with these precious lives and memories. 💛”

In response to community concerns, AT is upgrading this busy intersection to make walking, cycling, & driving safer and easier, helping everyone get where they need to go in one piece.

For the month of August you can review the plans & share feedback during the public consultation.
