Thank you to the Auckland Chinese Medical Association for recently hosting an education evening focused on improving outcomes for patients with genitourinary (GU) cancers.

We were pleased to have Dr Simon Fu from our specialised GU team at Canopy Cancer Care share valuable clinical insights on identifying and managing GU cancers in the primary care setting. It was an insightful and collaborative evening.

Canopy Cancer Care is proud to announce that Anita Wootton has become our first graduate of the national Nurse Practitioner Training Programme, recently achieving registration as a Nurse Practitioner.

Anita’s achievement reflects many years of advanced oncology and haematology nursing experience and extensive postgraduate study. This includes completing a Master of Health Science degree with distinction through the University of Otago, followed by the Nurse Practitioner Training Programme at Massey University. She was further recognised by the University for academic excellence and her commitment to delivering high‑quality patient care.

We are delighted to welcome Anita into her new role as the third Nurse Practitioner at Canopy Cancer Care.
