“Achieving GCSA re-certification and Workforce Process Quality Certification at Gold level is a proud moment for ACTT and a strong endorsement of the workforce quality and consistency our team brings to clinical trials every day. Both certifications reflect sustained performance and our commitment to operational excellence against independently assessed global standards. Proud to see our team out in full force at both Round the Bays and the Highbrook Fun Run this year.
These events were not only a great way to stay active and connect as a team, but also an opportunity to support important charitable causes within our community such as Middlemore Foundation . It was fantastic to see such strong participation and enthusiasm across the team, all contributing towards making a positive impact beyond the workplace.

As a company, we are committed to improving health outcomes for all New Zealanders, and last Wednesday some of our team have rolled up their sleeves to donate at the Middlemore blood drive.

Their contribution helps ensure hospitals across Aotearoa have safe, reliable blood products for the patients who need them most.

Ngā mihi to New Zealand Blood Service for the incredible work they do every day.

🎄💚 This Christmas, we’re proud to support Kidz First Christmas organised by the Middlemore Foundation , helping bring joy to children right here in South Auckland who will be spending the holidays in hospital.
Our community is at the heart of everything we do, and this donation is one way we can give back to the families who make it so special. Together, we can make sure tamariki and their whānau feel the love, care, and festive spirit they deserve. 🎁✨
Let’s make this Christmas brighter for our community’s children 💜

A huge shout-out to our Whangārei research team!
In just three months since activation, the Whangārei site has become the second top recruiting site in the world for a major international clinical trial looking at improving heart health.

This amazing result shows what’s possible when our local researchers and coordinators work together with focus and heart.

Your speed, efficiency, and commitment to improving health outcomes are helping to put Aotearoa on the global research map.

Ka rawe, amazing work, team!

Do you or anyone you know have Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD)?

We are inviting people who have ADPKD, who are between 18 and 70 years old, and are not taking metformin (a medicine for diabetes) to consider a research study that is being conducted in Whangarei Hospital.
We are studying whether metformin is helpful in protecting kidney function for people with ADPKD.

This research study will involve:
- taking medication (metformin or sugar pill) for 2 years and 3 months
- having regular health review including blood and urine tests
- filling out questionnaires about health and symptoms.

During the research study, you will meet a study nurse 4 times in-person and 9 times over the phone or video call (based on your preference). Each meeting will be 30 to 60 minutes long.

If you are, or someone you know, who would like to be part of this study, they can contact Rudi via: 021 570 098 or email impede-pkd.nz@otago.ac.nz.
