Every physio has that one patient whose journey really stays with them.

In this Real Talk with Robin, we hear about a client who came in struggling and left with a completely new outlook on life.

Robin highlights the importance of challenges, breakthroughs, and the small wins that added up to something incredible — and why seeing someone regain their independence is the most rewarding part of the job.

Your fork can be as powerful as your physio — what you eat can fight inflammation and help you heal 🍽️

Watch what you’re eating, does it increase or decrease inflammatory response? 🤔

On top of this, Robin talks about the importance of correct strength training when preventing injuries.

Injured your ankle? We’ve got more than just tape and ice.

We have machines like our Game Ready system which combines cold therapy and compression to reduce swelling and pain — helping you feel better, faster. ❄️💨

It’s the same tech trusted by elite athletes — and it’s right here at Leaton.

Rest is important — but too much rest can actually slow your recovery.

With ankle sprains, gentle movement and weight-bearing (as tolerated) early on can reduce swelling, improve circulation, and speed up healing.

🚶‍♀️ We guide you step by step so your ankle doesn’t stiffen up and delay your return to sport or daily life.

Rolled your ankle? You’re not alone — ankle sprains are one of the most common injuries we see.

They happen when the ligaments around your ankle stretch too far or tear, usually from a sudden twist or awkward landing.

Knowing what type of sprain you have is key to getting the right treatment.

👣 Don’t just “walk it off” — let us help you heal properly.

Your feet are your foundation — but we often forget to strengthen them.
A simple place to start?

Try a static calf raise on a downslope.

Stand on a wedge or step with your heels lowered, rise up onto your toes, and hold.

This exercise challenges your foot and calf stability — key for performance and injury prevention.

✅ Great for ankle control, arch support, and tendon health.
Start with 3 sets of 20–30 second holds.

Stronger foundations, one step at a time.

Join Q as he demonstrates a simple yet effective stretch for the windlass mechanism!

1. Put your big toe on a slope
2. Keep your heel on the ground
3. Bend forward

Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Ever wonder how your foot supports you during walking or running?

Meet the windlass mechanism — the body’s natural way of creating arch tension.

When your big toe extends, it tightens the plantar fascia, lifting your arch and stabilising your foot.

✅ Essential for shock absorption
✅ Key for efficient movement
✅ Often overlooked in foot pain!

Understanding this system is step one in fixing the root of common foot issues.
