Don’t stress, take things slow, appreciate what you have. Nothing is guaranteed. Yes to all of that, but man it’s hard. It’s so hard not to stress in a world that never lets you slow down. In a society that judges if we aren’t keeping up with the play, with the fast paced chaotic mess that’s all round us. Work, kids, societal pressures. Everything everyday is constantly keeping us in a heightened state of stress. Day after day it’s less about our own primal needs, wants and desires and more about how we present to the wider world in a way that is deemed successful and acceptable. I often imagine living on a farm with just a quiet community near by. I could wander around, talk with the animals. Have a job I love helping others. Dreams are free right…..
I Don’t really have any words of wisdom on how to change this other than making sure you do take time for you. However that looks. Even if it’s simply sitting outside and looking at the view.

Stop knocking on a closed door when the one next to it is unlocked and open. It might not be the door you had in your mind, the one you wanted but it’s open.
It allows you to move forward, to carve out a new path, a path you never knew was an option.
Often we get so set on the plan we had in our mind that one inconvenience throws us into a tailspin and we simple give up. We give up without even looking for other opportunities, other options, different outcomes. Of course these seem scary, they’re unplanned, unfamiliar. That doesn’t mean they’re wrong or not for you.

Even as an adult, right now I find the news heavy. There is so much going on not only in NZ but around the world. Everyone has strong opinions and views and very few allow open, honest conversations where each side gets a voice that is respected and heard. I absolutely hate confrontation (contrary to what some people may think) I definitely stand up for myself and those I love when needed, but give me a fulfilling and depth filled conversation over conflict and arguing any day.
So imagine for a moment how heavy this is on our kids. Kids whose brains are not fully developed, who have no life experience to draw on and who can’t make much sense of what they are constantly fed on social media daily.
Please make sure for yourself and for your children, you turn off the screens, turn off the news and know as much as possible about what they are consuming. And of what you are consuming. It’s not heartless to say you’ve seen, heard and had enough.
Get outdoors, do fun things, laugh and keep it light. Keep conversations going and let the kids know that you’re there for them. Be it through talking, a text or letter or if they want to talk to you but don’t want to do it face to face, let them phone you from another room.
It’s a heavy time. Keep lines open for communication and keep bringing fun and lightness into the home. 🩷

When it comes to nutrition and movement and fitting that into family can be a tricky one. There is so much information coming from social media, society and peers that what we want to teach our children can sometimes be blown off quickly by our kids as irrelevant and outdated.
I don’t have a ton of rules around food when it comes to the kids. I often speak about what foods provide energy and how that’s used in the body. Being active I think it’s important they know what foods help them achieve at their best level and what doesn’t. I also have conversations around what works for them and what doesn’t.
The biggest influence is also what we do as parents. I’m not eating takeout every day or making foods with lots of fat and sugar and I’m hopeful this filters through.
Of course there are times where I feel like I’m battling to get any kind of decent nutrition in them but on a whole it’s not bad.
🥦 encouraging new foods, not forcing
🥝 eating until they’re full, not when I say.
🚶♀️➡️being active together
🪞 show my kids good habits
🍕 allowing some food freedom
🍔 not labelling foods as good & bad. Moderation

Ok so for the person at the back of room🗣️
!!!!!The viral cheesecake isn’t a healthier option!!!!
In fact, you actually get slightly more calories and & roughly the same sugar ( 2g ) You may as well have a slice of cheesecake and moved on with your life.
Cheesecake slice 300cals
22g sugar
Biscoff cookies x 6 225cals
Small tub of protein yoghurt 140cals
Total 365 cals
20g sugar
Look, if fat loss is your goal, I wouldn’t recommend ether simply because they hold little nutritional benefit and will leave you wanting more sugar and hungry soon after. Even the protein in the yoghurt doesn’t make it worth it.
And with all that said, you’re your own person you can eat what you want. But don’t eat it thinking you’re making a healthier choice.

There is no magic diet so I’m not going to pretend that I have some revolutionary approach that I can sell you to make weight loss fast, easy and effortless on your part.
If you are willing to commit to losing weight then absolutely I can help. But you will need to allow time, be open to listening and learning about what proper nutrition looks like for you (not someone else, not a flashy influencer and not some strategic marketing) you will need to be open to learning new habits and incorporating them into your life.
Weight loss is possible for you. And while it shouldn’t be torturous, it will involve change and change can be uncomfortable.
If you’re ready to commit and make changes then get in touch 🍏

What an absolute s**t piece of an add from lifestream.plantbasedhealth
I have loved their products and used them for years. To see this load of AI crap with misguided and misleading statements is so disappointing.
“You don’t need to diet and exercise” say what? “I needed to stop taking it because I was losing clothes” I guess she lost weight so quickly and drastically she couldn’t keep up with buying clothes.
And this terrible AI image that zooms through and morphs into a thinner image is just terrible 😣
From a company like this, I would’ve expected more. Don’t fall for this absolute BS

Don’t use the weekend as a reason to reward yourself for the hard work you’ve done during the week. So many people eat well all week and then reward themselves for that over the weekend by eating and drinking what they want. Unfortunately this could be why you’re not seeing the results you want. It bumps up overall calories, drives bad habits by keeping them going, lowers inhibitions when you drink which leads to eating too much, loads up the liver and isn’t conducive to your goals. If you’re serious about change, you need to get serious about habits

You can’t change if your not willing to make changes and get uncomfortable. If you just expect to be able to sit in your safe zone in your same routine, then don’t expect to see a different outcome.
Change comes when we do the things that challenge us the most. Push us to do more and be more than we thought we were or could be.
In 2026 I challenge you to get uncomfortable

Hey! Thanks for stopping to read my page, get your self a cup of tea, sit back and have a read.
My name is Lauren and I am a Personal trainer and Health and Wellness coach working from home here in central Auckland. I have been training women now for around 6 years and in this time have grown, gained experience and developed my skills in an ever changing industry. Recently I have gained a qualification as a Health and Wellness coach, allowing me to offer my clients the complete package of health.
I think through past experiences and my own personal growth, which hasn't always been easy or comfortable, I am able to offer a very unique personal training and health coach experience. I am able to relate on a level of complete and empathetic understanding of most of my clients needs, goals and struggles.
I have a true passion to see women become more empowered, confident and happy with who they are in a world where we are constantly being bombarded by often unrealistic expectations. Expectations often place upon ourselves by social media, society and sadly and to often, ourselves. By working with women on their fitness, nutrition and lifestyle I can help and support clients to learn to love exactly who they are and what they bring to this world. Supporting them to become the best version of themselves and allowing them to use these accomplishments in all areas of their lives.
I believe in walking beside women to help them create a positive relationship with food and exercise so that it becomes something that so effortlessly fits into their life and is no longer something that is used as a tool to punish themselves with, or categorised into negative and positive groups, or good and bad foods. To finally have a relationship with food and exercise that is positive, removes that extra stress and pressure from women's lives and gives them time to focus on the far more important people and goals in their lives
Absolutely weight loss is often something that women want, and for some women reducing body fat is something that needs to be achieved in order for that person to be at optimal health. This however doesn't need to be yet another stressor that gets added to our already full on and heavy load that we constantly carry around with us. I've personally been through my own weight challenges and have even been at both ends of the spectrum. having been there i believe this makes me the perfect Health coach and Personal Trainer to work with women in similar situations. I know the guilt, the shame, the worry, the hate, anxiety and overwhelm that can come about from trying sort your eating and exercising.
I believe that every women is beautiful and has amazing talents, skills, uniqueness and beauty that is worth sharing with the world. Trust from the client in myself is so important, trust that the journey we are about to embark on is one that needs to be walked before we can run, it will often be bumpy and wont always be perfect. but with my support and encouragement along side them and their commitment and trust in me, together we can achieve their desired goals.
