Aucklands first ultrasound unit of excellence dedicated to Women's Health Imaging, early pregnancy and obstetric ultrasound.

The team at Sonelle are trained in ultrasound, and also comes with a background that encompasses a wide range and depth of experience over many years in Obstetrics, Fetal Medicine and High Risk Obstetrics, Midwifery and Gynecology. We believe that an ultrasound examination complements and completes the Obstetric and Gynaecological consultation. We believe in excellent communication with our specialist colleagues so that the best care can be achieved. Sonelle Women’s Ultrasound provides an efficient and timely service being on the same site as many Obstetric and Gynaecology Specialists. Ultrasound appointments are often combined with a specialist visit either before or after the antenatal or gynaecological consultation. Sonelle ultrasound specialists are also Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and examinations and reports are provided from a true Women’s Health perspective.

✨ A sweet start to the week! ✨

Did you know babies can make facial expressions, including little “smiles,” while still in the womb? 🤍

By around 26–28 weeks, ultrasound can sometimes capture these expressions. They’re not social smiles yet, but rather reflex movements as baby’s brain and facial muscles develop.
