Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is slow down. Sometimes the most mindful thing is to challenge ourselves. It’s about finding that push and pull that works for our body, our life, our season.
As women over 40, we’re constantly bombarded with conflicting fitness and nutrition advice. Go harder, lift heavier, endless confusion about whether cardio is good or bad, and don’t even get me started on the diet trends that change faster than the weather.
But here’s what I’ve learned through my own journey and working with amazing women: our bodies are wise. They know when we need to push and when we need to pull back.
Some days we lift heavier weights and challenge ourselves. Other days we focus on balance work, mobility, and breath.
Some days we need that cardio burst for our heart health. Other days we need gentle movement that honours where we are.
This mindfulness extends beyond movement into how we nourish ourselves. Taking time to sit down for meals, even when life is rushing around us.
Preparing food like we’re painting a beautiful picture. Bringing old wisdom into our modern, busy lives.
It’s not about perfection. It’s about finding that balance between strength and grace, between challenging ourselves and listening deeply to what our body actually needs.
That’s what I teach - not the noise, but the wisdom of listening to what you actually need. Because sometimes the most revolutionary thing we can do is trust ourselves.
If you’re tired of the confusion and ready to move and eat with intention, I’d love to support you on this journey.
