✨ THE PILATES FUSION EFFECT: SMALL CHANGES, HUGE IMPACT ✨
Hello Balancing Act community! I've been reflecting on my fitness journey and wanted to share what's truly transformed my body over time (and can transform yours too):
🔹 The Pilates-Strength Fusion: Since combining Pilates with targeted strength training, my body has completely changed. Increased muscle mass, decreased body fat (without obsessing!), and dramatically improved posture.
🔹 My clients report feeling stronger and more confident in how they hold themselves - standing taller, feeling more powerful in their everyday movements.
🔹 Those little bursts of HIIT I incorporate for speed and power? They're game-changers for metabolism and energy levels.
🔹 Daily movement is non-negotiable - whether it's a full class or splitting a 30-min walk into two 15-min sessions on hectic days. On those freer days? I buddy up for a longer walk (accountability works!).
🔹 Simple nutrition tweaks matter. Like many, I increased my protein intake but experienced digestive issues. Urban Herbalist digestive enzymes were my solution (sometimes the smallest supplement makes the biggest difference!).
🔹 Micro-wellness moments count: Starting with warm lemon water, practicing deep belly breathing at my desk, and being realistic about my capacity as a busy mum of three.
🔹 Being flexible and keep pivoting. The only constant thing is change. This picture that Diana Sanders Photography took is already 2 years old and both my daily, nutrition and exercise routines have shifted since then too. And that's normal and should be happening! I've included a lot more weights since then, added breath work at the end of my classes, stopped my crazy intermittent fasting, increased protein significantly—and guess what? I feel even stronger as I age.
This is why I'm committed to keep studying and sharing with you all my wellness and fitness tips as we evolve together. Isn't that the beauty of ageing?
The REAL transformation comes from consistency in these small habits - not from grand, unsustainable gestures.
My fusion classes are designed around this philosophy: targeted, effective movement that fits into real life and creates real change.
