Body image 📷
⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️
This is my story, about my own experience. If this topic triggers you in any way, please feel free to keep yourself safe and keep scrolling 🙏🏻
💡Fun fact: Did you know that you NEVER see yourself in real life?
Let me explain.
In order to see yourself you must either
✔️Look in a mirror
✔️Take a photo
✔️ Look down
You NEVER see the exact image that other people see 🤯
This means there are SO many external factors adjusting the way you see yourself
✔️ Lighting
✔️ Angles
✔️Camera quality
✔️ Mirror quality (lol, but also we’ve all been there with a warped mirror 🙅🏼♀️)
Don’t even get me started on the internal factors (water weight, salt intake, amount of sleep, time of the month for my girlies 🩸)
My own body image can change day by day, hell it can change hour by HOUR.
One minute I’ll be feelin myself 💁🏼♀️ the next it’s omg where did that roll come from!?
And when I see a photo of myself, it’s the FLAWS I see first
So what can we do? Do we just accept negative self talk?
Or, do we commit to CHANGE.
Commit to rewiring our thoughts.
Commit to take ACTION
🚨 TRY THIS 🚨

For example
1️⃣ I like my ability to talk to anyone and connect with them
2️⃣ I like how organised I am
3️⃣ I like my eye colour
This will feel hard and uncomfortable at first, but it will get easier.
Soon enough, you might start seeing some of these positives shine through in your photos ☀️
