It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, and one of this year's themes is “Keep Learning | Me Aka Tonu”. It's a great reminder that growth doesn’t stop when we leave school or university.

When we stay curious and embrace new opportunities, we open ourselves up to learning more about ourselves and the world around us, all while deepening our capacity for resilience under stress. It's something that's super important to us at Active+.

To mark the week, we're sharing some of our most popular mindfulness blogs to help support wellbeing and continuous growth in the workplace.

You'll learn about the benefits of mindfulness, and simple practices that can be applied throughout the day, to help keep you relaxed and open to whatever is around the corner.

Our Story

Active Physio Howick was established in 2004 and started as a local private practice in Central Howick as the first franchise of the Active Physio group and is located at 15 Cook Street, Howick. Our focus at the time and remains to this day providing the highest quality physiotherapy services to our people. Active Physio Highbrook was launched in 2008 and serves the business community in East Tamaki and surrounding suburbs. It is a purpose built clinic and rehabilitation gym enabling us to grow our scope. Active Physio Ltd continued to grow and in the ensueing years the group grew to 20 practices across the North Island. This enabled us to take the next step and expand our business along our mission of providing a holistic approach to health, wellbeing and injury. In 2013 we became Active Plus. The Plus was due to the need to reflect we were a company of more than physios. We now employ Occupational therapists, social workers, Psychologists, Medical Specialists and a raft of other health providers in order to provide extraordinary services to our clientele.

"We are always keen to hear feedback on your experience with Active+ - our professional standards do not allow us to have reviews available on Facebook, but you can always email us at headoffice@activeplus.co.nz if you want to pass on any feedback. ".
