Your baby will let you know exactly what they need...your job is to let them.

Babies are designed to thrive, they have primal instincts to help them do so.

When your baby serves you subtle cues to get your attention, such as sucking on their own hand when they are hungry or frowning and staring into space when they are tired they are waiting for you to pick up on those cues and help them. If their cues go unanswered they will start to ramp up their signal. If those cues also go unanswered they will result in the biggest cue that they can serve you which is to cry.

It's much harder to soothe a crying baby than it is to soothe a baby during those early cues.

When a parent or main caregiver responds to those early cues, they will have a happy and content baby which = happy and content parents.

Put those books down and read your baby instead ❤️

Firstly congratulations. If you’re looking at our page it probably means that you are expecting a baby or a parent already. Both of those scenarios are ones to be celebrated in our eyes.

Parenting is a journey like no other and it starts well before your baby arrives. The moment we conceive we become parents and are faced with all sorts of decisions.

At NEST we believe that to have a positive and satisfying birth experience parents should be well informed so that they can make their own decisions based on current information and guidelines.

Our mission is to provide courses and workshops for expectant, new and well-established parents in a friendly and most importantly non-judgemental environment.
