For 40 years, Hospice West Auckland has been shaped by people whose passion and commitment have changed how we care for our community.

Warren Flaunty is one of those people. Dedicated to improving end-of-life care, Warren played a pivotal role in transforming pain and symptom management, helping to ensure patients could have greater comfort, dignity, and support. His work, including introducing new approaches to delivering continuous pain relief, has had a lasting impact on Hospice care in Aotearoa.

Trudi launched her personal styling business, Wardrobe Flair, in 2005 after recognising how many men and women felt stuck with wardrobes that didn’t work for their real lives. Since then, she’s been giving practical, down-to-earth advice and tools to help people make smarter, more confident style decisions, tailored to their body, budget and lifestyle.

Working with both individuals and corporate clients, Trudi is also an experienced public speaker, with appearances across TV and radio. Based between Greenhithe in Auckland and Wellington, she balances business life with being a mum of two.

Beyond her work, Trudi is deeply committed to her community, supporting causes close to her heart, including Hospice. What she’s most proud of is helping clients realise that no matter their shape, size or profession, they can look and feel fantastic. Come along and meet Trudi and get answers to your many styling questions on the night.

For four decades, Hospice West Auckland has supported our amazing community, walking alongside people when it matters most, and providing support that goes far beyond medical care.

This year Hospice West Auckland marks an important milestone: 40 years of caring for people and families across our community. This is a celebration of every patient, every whānau, every team member, every volunteer, and every supporter who has been part of our journey.

At the heart of that story is Beverley Revell, a true pioneer and the driving force behind the establishment of Hospice West Auckland.

Beverley’s vision, determination and compassion helped lay the foundations for the care we provide today. Her belief that our community deserved dignity, comfort and support at the end of life sparked something that has grown into 40 years of care.

As we celebrate this milestone, we honour Beverley’s legacy and the incredible impact one person can have.
