💛 Our volunteers make an incredible difference in so many ways.

One of these volunteers is Clayton, who uses his background in TV production to film patients’ life stories. This may include capturing memories, reflections, and recording special messages for future milestones. These videos become a deeply meaningful gift for families, to treasure for years to come.

💛 Thank you, Bendon Lingerie 💛

We recently had the privilege of running a Te Kapowai - Dragonfly workshop with the Bendon team, connecting with almost 40 employees. As one of Hospice West Auckland's amazing Impact Contributors through gifts in kind, we’re so grateful to be growing this relationship together.

The feedback from the team was wonderful. They enjoyed the opportunity to step away from their daily routines, and reflect and connect in a meaningful way. Thank you, Bendon, for taking the time to invest in wellbeing and for supporting the work we do in our community.

We'd like to give our heartfelt thanks to the Blue Sky Community Trust Limited, for their generous grant towards our Social Worker salaries. Because of their generosity, our Social Workers can continue to support our patients and families when they need it the most.

We love sharing stories about why Hospice care matters. 💛

This is Helen’s story. After her Dad was supported by Hospice West Auckland years ago, she found herself walking a very similar path with her Mum later on. Hospice didn't just provide medical support - it was practical guidance, kind presence, and reassurance when everything felt overwhelming. From nurses being “there at the end of the phone” to arranging help so Helen could take a break, the care made all the difference.

Though the experience was heartbreaking, Helen says it was also profoundly meaningful. She’s now chosen to include Hospice West Auckland in her will so others can receive the same compassionate care when they need it.
