I just got back from a 3-day hike at the top of the Coromandel Peninsula with 11 incredible mums.
It took a year to organise… and it was absolutely worth it.
No phone reception.
No emails.
No constant “mum, mum, mum…”
Just nature, movement, laughter, nourishing food, deep sleep, and the most supportive circle of wāhine.
What surprised me most?
I didn’t realise how much I had been carrying — mentally and emotionally — until I finally had the space to put it down.
As mums, we juggle so much.
Not just work and logistics, but the invisible load — the planning, the worrying, the holding of everyone else’s needs.
And when that load lifts, even briefly, something shifts.
✨ You feel clearer
✨ More grounded
✨ More like yourself again
I know that for many working mums, 3 days away can feel like a luxury that’s out of reach. I feel incredibly grateful that I could do this now that my kids are a bit older.
But here’s the thing:
You don’t need 3 days to reconnect with yourself.
Sometimes, a couple of intentional hours can be enough to:
• reflect on what’s actually working for you
• let go of what’s not
• reconnect with what gives you energy, joy, and purpose — your “unicorn space”
That’s exactly why I’m running a Mother’s Day workshop this Saturday at Golden Yogi.
It’s 2.5 hours — just for you.
A space to pause, reflect, reset, and create a simple, realistic plan to bring more of you back into your life.
Because the best gift isn’t another robe or slippers.
It’s time. Space. Permission to recharge.
If this resonates — or you know a mum who needs this — I’d love you to share this with them.
There are still spots available, and I’d love to see you there 💛
