Don’t underestimate the Power of gentle!
Joining a Bone Yoga Class with Paul is a bit like a balm for the mind, body and soul. Paul invites you to really be in your body, to notice the sensations of the smallest of movements, of the invisible inner workings of our amazing bodies, to connect deeply and listen to all that they have to say to us. This deep connection is then drawn into the practice and we are encouraged to be curious and to explore moving with inner kindness to ourselves.

As we practice and the moves become more instinctive we can then be guided to explore them in different ways, being curious as to how this then changes our experience of them. This new perspective then offers greater insight into our habits and preconceptions offering us deepening awareness and a possibility for change. This in turn offers us more opportunities for deeper listening, better knowing and healing.

You know that something is good when you suddenly realise ‘hang on a minutes - that doesn’t hurt’ and you cannot remember the last time it had pained you. Or you find you have an unwanted sensation but you don’t back away from it but you can change it within a few breaths with gentle and kind movements. It is as if I have unlocked a great secret and I can be here, where my whole body is more comfortable, my posture is better and I move with greater ease.
This is not magic but it is the ‘Power of Gentle’!

My personal experience.
It was during was with the initial stages of class where we relax and breathe. On one day I felt that there was a tight sensation in my low back, running from right to left. As a first response I backed away, fidgeted to remove this sensation. It returned a few times and each time I chased it away.

This continued for a few weeks until one day I just watched it, sat with it. Trying to do as suggested and let go of the habit of moving away. On this occasion I realised that my body was not tensing but relaxing! Boom! Now I began seeking this feeling but this also chased it away - I was trying too hard! It took a few more weeks before I became aware of that!

When I allowed the sensation to move through me it became smaller over time but the knock on impacts were large. There was the change in my standing position, the sensations of my feet on the floor, the sense of movement through my spine, a desire to sit more upright - so many small changes that have added up to feeling amazing in both body and mind!

Hi Everyone,
I've not posted for a long time.
I hope you are all well.

I hope that you are all well.
I'm still here doing my 3 zoom Bone Yoga classes.
They have taken on a new depth and my understanding and appreciation on body/mind/breath continues to deepen.

Feel free to pop in again if you haven't for a while and see for yourself.
