Bereavement pānui on behalf of the Stewart whanau, regarding the passing of their beloved Father, Grandfather, Father-In-Law, Uncle, Cousin and Dear Friend, Rodney Te Whero Stewart, who sadly passed away in Auckland on Friday 12th September 2025.
Matua is currently laying in state until his funeral day at the whanau whare in Green Bay, funeral details are as follows;
The funeral service will be held at Chapel 1 - Waikumete Cemetery (4128A Great North Road, Glen Eden, Auckland) on Tuesday 16th September from 1-2pm, followed by the burial. A livestream link will be available soon and will be posted on this pānui only, when the link becomes available.

Bereavement pānui on behalf of the Flavell whānau, regarding the passing of their beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunty, Cousin and friend, Shayne Louise Flavell who sadly passed away on Sunday 7th September 2025 in Brisbane, Australia.
Whaea Shayne has departed Haven Falls, Tāmaki and travelling north to Oturei Marae (11 Oturei Settlement Road, Aratapu) where she will lay for the duration of her tangihanga. Whānau have advised that Whaea Shayne’s tangihanga will commence on Monday 15th September 2025 at 10am followed by a graveside service at Pirika urupā. Following the graveside service, whānau welcome everyone back to Oturei marae for kai hākari.

Ronald has departed Haven Falls and is heading to the family homestead in Murupara, where he will remain for the duration of the tangihanga. Matua arrived to Auckland this morning and whanau will be taking him to Tapuaeharuru Marae (1702 State Highway 30, Rotoiti, Rotorua), where he will be laying in state until his funeral day (expected arrival 1.30pm-3.30pm)
The funeral service will be held at the marae on Monday 8th September from 11am followed by burial at Wahanui Urupa.

We have been presented with an opportunity to partner with the Go with Grace organization and to participate in the Dying Matters week, here in Whangārei from the 1st to the 7th September 2025.

Tomorrow, Saturday the 6th of September from 10am to 1pm. We welcome you all to come and join us, where we will have a walk through of Haven Falls Funeral Home, we will be giving information on Tangihanga and the different options available to whanau. We will talk about, what government assistance may be available. We can answer any questions on what legal implications whānau may face.

We will present some of our initiatives and services we could provide. We look forward to meeting with our local community, to answer questions, around tangihanga.

We will have our Kai mahi, available for one on one conversations.
