It’s not the fun answer or the hot take.

It’s not the supplement someone’s selling you on..
But it’s quietly running the show in your hormones, your gut, your cravings, your energy. And most of the women I work with are getting about half of what their body actually needs.

A long weekend is coming, And you’re probably hoping it’ll reset you.
It probably won’t....I say that with love 💛
Here’s what I’ve watched with the women I work with... two or three days off rarely undoes months of running on fumes.
You don’t come home on Monday feeling like a new person. You come home feeling a little less wired, maybe. But still tired. Still flat. Still snacking at 3pm, still waking at 2am, still wondering why the rest didn’t land the way you hoped it would.

A long weekend gives your calendar a break.
It doesn’t give your nervous system one!

Your body has been in low-grade survival mode for weeks (maybe months, maybe years). A few days off isn’t enough to tell it the threat is gone. The body needs more than time... it needs signals of safety. Repetition. Rhythm. Practices that speak its language.

So this long weekend, if you genuinely want to come back to yourself... don’t just rest, Regulate!
Slow meals... Gentle movement...Long exhales... Time outside... Warmth...

Less stimulation, not more ✨

When we’re stuck in survival mode, constantly stressed, overwhelmed, or running on empty, our bodies are too busy keeping us safe to do anything else.

Releasing weight,Building energy, Improving sleep, Regulating appetite. All of it takes a back seat!
 
Your body didn’t feel safe enough to change. And until it does, no amount of effort will override that.

Everyone’s talking about protein right now.
Eat more. Prioritise it. Build your meals around it.

But most women I work with don’t actually know how much they’re consuming or how much they need. Way under, or stressing about some number they found online that may not even be right for them.

Here’s a simple starting point.

Aim for roughly 1.8to 2g per kg of body weight if you’re active and wanting to support metabolism, hormones and satiety.

And don’t try to hit it all in one or two meals. Spread it through the day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, a snack if you need it. Your body can only use so much at once, so consistency through the day is what actually adds up.

You can’t manage what you don’t measure. 💛
