With broken hearts, our whānau regret to share that our daughter, moko, big sister, mummy, aunty, cousin and bestie received her angel wings yesterday morning. Surrounded in immense love, at the Mercy Hospice in Ponsonby. She fought so incredibly hard to stay here right from her diagnosis last year, to be here for her daughters Mahalia-June, 5 & Amāia, 4 who were her whole world and more. She defied so many expectations. The strongest will power we have ever seen.

At this stage, our girl is with us at home in Glen Innes. We will spend a few nights here, and we welcome all those that can and want to see her, sit with her, share stories, sing and surround her with aroha❤️

Please contact Shaye on 021 076 7914 for address details.

From Monday morning at 9am we will leave Glen Innes Auckland to travel north to spend one night in her whare tūpuna. Te Houhanga ā Rongo Station Road, Dargaville with the rā nehu funeral on Tuesday 11am at Te Houhanga Urupā.

If you are travelling north please take it easy and be safe whānau.

For those who wish to contribute koha aroha❤️You may do so via;

Account name: Marie Nesbit
Account number: 06-0878-0794195-00

Ngā mihi maioha please put your whānau name as the reference and email for your receipt.

On behalf of the Nesbit & Toese whānau, we wish to thank you all for your aroha, karakia, manaaki and tautoko as we navigate this next part of Sariah's journey. No more mamae our girl❤️

Moe mai rā e taku kōhine, taku taonga.
Hoki atu ki ngā ringa o ngā tūpuna.
Ka aroha mutunga kore ki a koe✨

In 1965, she was the first of our Tiumalu Afelē aiga to arrive in New Zealand, honouring her parents’ wishes to pave the way for her family to build a better life. After 61 years, she now begins her final journey home, returning to the loving embrace of her parents and siblings.

Her devotion to God, and her faithful service to her beloved parents, Tiumalu Afelē Tea & Ainiutalele Iputau Mou, have been fulfilled.

Her sacred duty of raising her children - Lepeti & Samuel, Hana, Uai & Matt, Lua & Tracey, her grandchildren, Mitchell, Paul, Danni, Elisapeta, Ainiutalele Leisah, Tupuna, Aniva-Vi’i, Luke, Cora-Daisy, Arya, Boston, Alyssa & Aliyah and her great grandchildren Kyce, Amiah & Kaido, is complete.

Though we grieve her passing, her legacy of love, strength, and sacrifice will live on in our hearts as we farewell and celebrate our beloved matriarch.
