Barking good times lately 🐾

Churchill Farm has become our go to for the bigger paws, fenced freedom, rolling fields for days, river dips to cool off, a few curious animals along the wander… and somehow, always a tennis ball find 🎾

Exciting additions at Pet Co:
• Afternoon wander spots opening up for Term 2 (DM us to check spots)
• Cat feeding drop-ins while you’re away — we stick to your routine with fresh food, water, and a pat or two (we’ve had some lovely 5⭐️ feedback on how closely we match each pet’s daily rhythm)
• In-home pet sitting for weekends — same rhythms, big walks, happy homecoming (and yes, dishes done)
• Bespoke west coast half day adventure — small crew, off-leash, wild waves + endless sand out Bethells. (Min 3 dogs to make drive viable) pre bookings underway.

Back in the kennel for a quick regroup… before we go barking mad again! 🐾

Backyard Adventures taught us a lot:
• Smaller paws: a bit too long — we’ll revisit after school holidays.
• Mid/larger paws: full send! Two-hour adventures in Churchill Park with streams, long grass, off-lead freedom… and the occasional tennis ball. 🎾

Term 2 kicks off soon with a small but mighty crew. Booking spots will drop shortly — keep your eyes peeled!

🐾 Sometimes smaller is better, sometimes bigger is full send!

Onboarding spaces have opened up on both Tue/Thur with one or two solo walks which is our prerequisite before the doggo jumps into small group wanders.

As we recalibrate how this community grows and keeps weekday energy high we’ve blocked out weekends for family and want our focus to remain high to support families throughout the weekdays.

Onboarding generally takes two to three solo wanders inc recall, confidence from both dog and us before we gently intro them into phase two of small group.

Monday energy was on point with an expanding crew for our backyard adventures but drum roll please 🙏🏼 we’ve just opened a second day for the smaller crew 🐾

We’ve got a few spaces left on Fridays with pickup locally around 2.30pm and parents grab their doggo’s around 5.30pm with tires and happy dogs ready for the weekend.

🌿 Cigana Backyard Adventures — Founding Crew Launch 🌿

🔥 This is expected to fill quickly.

✨ 4 adventure spaces are now open for our small but mighty local doggies (kicks off 16th March)

Cigana Backyard Adventures is bespoke afternoon care with energy, movement and hands on attention from two passionate dog owners.

This isn’t just backyard time.
We’ll mix it up with:

🐾 Fully fenced backyard play
🚶‍♂️ Local block walks
🌊 Beach zoomies when the crew suits
💧 Hydration + snacks
🧡 Calm, engaged, personal care throughout

We pick up from your home around 2:30pm, and owners pick up between 5.30-6pm

Running Mondays only for now, aligned with the school term — with more adventure days in the doggy wings 🪽

✨ A second Backyard Adventure space for mid-to-larger local doggos will open shortly.

With beach dog restrictions rolling back next week, our afternoon and dusk wanders are kicking off 🌅

Bay by bay we’ll be back exploring St Heliers through to Mission Bay.

Honestly… we’re completely blown away. From one dog back in September to a completely full afternoon calendar 🐾

A few weekday spots could free up in 3–4 weeks.

We’re bootstrapping Cigana Pet Co right now — new crew coming onboard, expanded walk times in the works, and our small group walkies are in overdrive.

Our 2pm solo wanders are now fully booked out on weekdays for our first walker 🥁 🥹 but YAY we’re officially taking bookings for our newest team member.

Small group spots? They’re quietly building too. More families are leaning into that gentle social vibe, right energy, right mix, right crew.

Set your dog up ready for the weekend.

A few owners have checked in asking for more social adventures — so we’ve opened a new Friday small group spot at 330pm (max three).

Door-to-door pick up, purposeful wander, wash down, and home they go — happy and a little tired.

Our curated small group wanders (Duo & Tri) are gaining interest as families look for thoughtful socialisation, confidence building and calm, balanced energy — without the overwhelm.

Three dogs. One calm wander. No chaos.

We’ve had a few enquiries come through for curated small group walks so we’re supporting this space across our community.

These are bespoke wanders with up to three dogs, carefully matched by energy, temperament and pace.
Pack walks isn’t our vibe just bespoke pairing that make sense, especially in local urban spaces.

Smaller groups mean calmer movement, better engagement and more room for dogs to simply be dogs.

It’s not for everyone — and that’s okay.
But for the right dogs, it’s a really special way to walk.
