Looking to deepen your meditation practice or find one that sticks? One that you enjoy and feel the effects of in your daily life?

Vedic Meditation is an ancient technique that fits into busy lives. It’s easy to learn, effortless to practice, and proven to rest your mind and body deeply (2-5 times deeper than sleep!).

With deep rest, you naturally release stress, gain more energy and experience calm that lasts long after you’ve opened your eyes.

I’ll be teaching this powerful technique in person in Mount Manganui from 14-17 August, 90 minutes a day.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to meditate easily on your own. You’ll also receive ongoing support, if needed, to help you integrate meditation into your life, including free weekly online group meditations.

This is the only course planned for 2025 so if this sparks some interest, join me for a free online introductory session this Wednesday at 7.30pm or Friday at 12pm, or book a time that suits you. I’ll share more about the technique, what makes it different, and why those who learn it often describe it as ‘life-changing’!

Book a free intro here: sheryncantervedicmeditation.as.me or check out my website for more info: sheryncanter.com

If you’ve already learnt Vedic Meditation, join me on Saturday 16 August for a free in-person group meditation! DM me for more details.

I look forward to sharing this profound and effective technique with the BOP community soon!

Deep rest is what you get each time you practise Vedic meditation. Rest that’s even deeper than sleep. When the mind and body rest deeply, great things happen.

✨You feel energised. You can focus and get more done.
✨Your body is able to release accumulated stress from the nervous system. You feel less stressed, you sleep better and you feel more like yourself.
✨Your mind becomes calmer and clearer. You can think more clearly, make better decisions and become more resilient and adaptable to change over time.

Many people experience these benefits in the first week of learning to meditate, and even more benefits over time.

So if you’re lacking energy, or you’re sleep-deprived, learn to meditate. In just 20 minutes, twice a day, you can get the rest you’re craving.

I have courses every month in Auckland. Get in touch to find out more.

Many people think the goal of meditation is meditation itself - to achieve stillness and feel comfortable being still. And for many people, living in today’s world full of distractions, that is a real achievement. Experiencing stillness is wonderful.

But for me, meditation is more than stillness. It’s about what you experience in daily life outside of meditation. Meditation helps us reveal the greatness that’s within us. When the layers of accumulated stress are released from our nervous systems, we reveal our best selves. We reveal who we are without the lifetime of stress stored within us, which clouds our minds and affects our behaviour.

Greatness can look like lots of things, from simply sleeping well every night to no longer having road rage. It can also mean you stop having anxious thoughts, overthinking, or snapping at people you love out of frustration. It can mean the negative voice inside you goes silent, and you feel happiness within you all the time.

This is the goal of meditation.

Hi, I’m Sheryn, and I teach Vedic meditation in Auckland, New Zealand.

I'm also a daughter, sister, auntie, dog mum, friend, and colleague. As well as teaching meditation, I work part-time in marketing, which has been my career for over 15 years.

My aim is to empower Kiwis to take charge of their health and happiness by teaching them this easy and effective meditation technique.

This is not your average meditation technique. Vedic meditation rests the mind and body deeply, allowing you to release stress stored in your body.

When you release stress, great things happen! You feel calmer, have a clearer mind, sleep better, have more energy and can be more productive. Over time, you feel more like you - your favourite version of yourself.

I learnt Vedic meditation five years ago and graduated from teacher training in April 2023. All up, I’ve completed over 2,000 hours of training, culminating in a three-month residential training programme in the foothills of the Himalayas in north India.

I decided to become a teacher as practising Vedic meditation changed my life in so many ways, and I wanted to help my friends, family, and community experience the benefits, too. So far, my immediate family and some of my best friends and favourite colleagues are all meditating. It’s been a joy to teach them!

My aim with this page is to share more about Vedic meditation, my story and the stories of my students, provide tips to keep you on track with your practice and Vedic wisdom to inspire.
