I.Lead is excited to share its newest programme: Te Ara Tāne: The Path of Men
We’re creating a space where disabled men (18-30) can come together, be real, and have honest kōrero about the ups and downs of life — the stuff people don’t always talk about. Whether it’s about identity, relationships, mental health, or just everyday challenges, this is a space where you’ll be heard and understood.
This group was designed by disabled men, for disabled men — no pressure, no judgement, just a chance to connect, listen, and be yourself.
Come along. Your story matters. Your voice belongs here.
Our meeting dates for 2025 are:
October 14th
November 18th
December 16th

It's International Week of Deaf People and to mark the occasion, the Deaf flag will be flown from our New Zealand Parliament buildings for the first time tomorrow!

Since 2023, the Deaf flag has been officially recognised as the flag of the global Deaf community. Not a whole lot of people outside the community know, but there's lots of symbolism in the flag's design:

✋The turquoise blue hand represents sign language and the Deaf community, and the yellow hand is the support behind it.
✋ The fingers stretch out beyond the flag to show the infinite reach of sign language.
👂Turquoise is the world colour of sign language and the deaf community.
⚡ Yellow represents light, life, energy, and hope
🌍The dark blue represents the planet earth and humanity.
