“You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes a day, unless you’re too busy; then you should sit for an hour”, so the saying goes.
The sentiment here is that, sometimes the thing you need the most, the thing that would be most helpful to us, is the very thing we don’t make time for.
It has been a stressful year, and we are heading into a very busy season with loads of demands on our time and energy. This is the perfect time to think about bringing in practices like Yoga and Meditation into your life, to help you manage challenges and stressors.
Join Yoga Ground studio owner, Kara Sweney for her relaxed, and often fun, six week series of introductory yoga. The course is aimed at the physical elements of the practice - the postures and the breathing - so don’t worry, you don’t have to listen to lots of theory!
It aims to help you to cultivate a home practice and the confidence to join group classes but even if you just learn to breathe a little easier in your daily life, or carry less tension in your body, it can make a world of difference to your every day happiness and wellness.
