Pure Yoga with Pragyadhara

Pure Yoga with Pragyadhara Health, Happiness & Harmony to thrive in life Yoga Educator, mentor, retreat facilitator and humble student. Yoga is a journey to inspire, uplift and connect.

My vision is to establish a clear presence of authentic traditional yoga alongside more modern evolutionary forms, both nationally and internationally. Sharing my love of yoga through stimulating inquiry, passing on knowledge and wisdom related to the breadth and depth of Yoga and encouraging others to find the practices and philosophical elements that they can embody to improve the quality of their life, and of those around them. Sannyasi Pragyadhara is an initiated spiritual seeker who has embodied yogic wisdom through traditional yogic training under the ancient Gurukul system. Application and expression of this embodied wisdom includes both academic, teachers training and community settings. Its a privilege and joy to share this journey with others weather they are looking for stress relief, to relax and unwind, to transform in a natural way or to deepen into a spiritual path. As a transformational technology yoga has served humanity well and will continue to do so as the culture of tomorrow.

Mondays inspiration. When we consider the impact that the spiritual sciences have had on humanity is easy to understand why they are the need of today.

Today’s lifestyle is tamasic. If you add to the sattwic side, the tamasic side becomes lighter. Focus on the positive, the sattwic qualities. When you improve, your family will improve, when your family improves, your neighbourhood will improve, when your neighbourhood improves, society will improve, when the society improves the community, the state, the nation and the whole world will improve. Spiritual sciences are the needs of the day. No other science can indicate the process by which you can cultivate virtues in life, and by cultivating virtues overcome the tamasic expressions

There is a quiet power in practices that are given time to unfold.

In a world shaped by quick fixes, condensed classes, and constant momentum, it can be rare to find spaces that invite us to slow down, stay longer, and go deeper. Our monthly Hatha classes are an offering into that rarity, a return to yoga as a classical, integrated system rather than a single experience on the mat.

Over two unhurried hours, we draw on the five limbs of Hatha Yoga, moving beyond asana alone. We build and refine pranic capacity through bandha and pranayama, steady the mind through mantra and meditation, and allow the practice to work subtly yet profoundly, from the inside out.

But the transformation doesn’t end when the practice does.

We linger…..
We share lovingly homemade chai.
We take time to bring context to what has been experienced and to speak honestly about the challenges life presents — on and off the mat. In these moments, real conversations arise, and community is quietly strengthened.
This monthly infusion of practice serves as a reminder: that depth still matters, that intention shapes experience, and that walking the yogic path is not a solo pursuit.

Nestled in Ubud, Om Ham Yoga Shala is where we land, soften, and tune into a different rhythm of life.

Our days and evenings will unfold in the Kundalini Shala, a space held with care and intention, where mantra and bhakti practices come alive through kirtan and collective practice.

Beyond the mat, we step into the living spirituality of Bali.

You’ll learn the deeper meaning of Canang Sari — the daily offerings that weave gratitude into everyday life. The symbolism of flowers, food, and incense. The quiet prayer held in each gesture. Learn the meditative art of creating your own authentic offering, by hand, with awareness.

This is where practice meets culture, and devotion becomes lived experience.

There are just 2 spots remaining on our Bhakti & Mantra Immersion in Bali.
If this place, these practices, and this rhythm speak to you, now is the time!

The Goddess does not rush us.

She meets us in the hush between footsteps,
in filtered light on mossy ground,
in the steady rhythm of breath returning home.

This is sanctity without spectacle.
A gentle remembering.

That nourishment comes not from doing more,
but from being present enough to receive.

The goddess walk was one of many small treasures to discover at Strathen retreat centre. The perfect integration after 3 days & evenings of kirtan. Yesterday’s 7 hr Akhanda kirtan was a heart explosion 💥

We will be back again next year bringing the bhav & connecting in the heart space once more.
🪷 Thank you sangha & all who joined.
New connections & positivity.
Community & care. Happy & grounded children & minimal devices. Loved the camping area also.

Bhakti is a living force. It represents our innate capacity to connect with what is uplifting, expansive and whole

For anyone longing for more depth…
More intimacy with themselves…
A more conscious relationship with the world around them…
Bhakti is an open door.

Walking this path isn’t about becoming someone new but it’s about becoming more aware. At first, we use practices to gently shift the way we think, feel, and relate. Mantra chanting & kirtan form the bridge to experience Bhakti more fully.

Whether you’re craving deep rest and renewal in an elevated, like-hearted community, or feeling called to explore mantra and Bhakti as a living spiritual path, our Bhakti & Mantra Immersion in Bali offers you both.

So much wisdom and clarity to derive from satsang. Swamiji's New Years message shared
January 1, 2026

Today the world celebrates New Year. Different cultures and different traditions celebrate the beginning of the new year at different times. But no matter how many times we celebrate the New Year, it is always an opportunity for all of us to come together in the spirit of bhakti, in the spirit of joy, in the spirits of love and compassion for all humanity.

Get together and chant Hanuman Chalisa.
Lord Hanuman embodies strength, devotion, intelligence, wisdom, endurance, service and dedication. By inviting this force into our lives, we empower ourselves to meet and overcome the unknown challenges that inevitably come into each person's life.
Tomorrow becomes yesterday, and from it we gain awareness and understanding, wisdom and skills to face the new challenges that come tomorrow.

Thus life becomes a continuity of past and future. The future is unknown, and the past is only gained resilience in the face of the unknown. And to ease our way, to ease our journey, Hanuman's grace plays an important role. It is because of this grace that we can go through the year's journey peacefully and with ease.
People are waiting for the message on that day. And the message today is: The New Year does not require you to change who you are. He invites you to discover your true nature. Don't measure a year by results and rewards - its true value is determined by peace of mind, balance of heart, and the awareness with which you operate.

Yoga is not the decoration of life. It's the simplification of life.
This year, establish the inner order: clarity in thoughts, balance in emotions, and awareness in actions. Do not chase after the extraordinary. Remember: where there is awareness, even the ordinary becomes sacred.
Practice a little each day - like your sankalpa. But practice with sincere. True sadhana works quietly, transforming the inner being.

When resistance arises in the mind, observe it. When emotions rise, be a witness and allow them to pass.
Remember: discipline is not a burden, but a conscious daily choice. Let the force be free from tension. Let the effort be free from struggle. This is the way of yoga - forward movement in balance.
Don't limit yoga to just a mat. Live it in speech, in work and in relationships. If you have fallen, gently rise again. If you forget, remember again. If in doubt, start the practice of self-tuning.
Progress in yoga is not a loud event. He silently manifests itself in that reactions weaken, patience deepen, and awareness remains steadfast.

This year is not meant to take you anywhere else. It’s meant to teach you to consciously stand where you are. This is a true beginning, and this is the real New Year.
Keep this awareness and this understanding in your mind, your heart, your life and walk the light path.
Such is the message of this New Year - 2026.

I’ll be honest with you - I was sceptical about visiting a zoo.
The idea of animals in captivity has never sat comfortably with me.

But today surprised me.

What I witnessed were spacious, world-class enclosures designed with care, intention, and enrichment at their heart. Spaces that respected the animals’ natural behaviours, rhythms, and dignity. Not entertainment for humans, but environments shaped around animal wellbeing, conservation, and education.

It was a reminder that when done with integrity, care can look different than our assumptions. And that staying open, even when we have strong values, allows room for learning, nuance, and growth.

Grateful for a day that softened my perspective and deepened my respect for those working to protect these beautiful beings. 🌿🦒
