🗓️ 07 October — Episode 105
the full moon (Te Rākaunui) influences our body’s natural chemicals - melatonin, serotonin, and cortisol. ✨

This high-energy phase reminds us to stay physically active in ways that suit our unique bodies, helping us keep balance across our physical, intellectual, and emotional wellbeing.

reading The Urban Wayfinder has been a road map to healing maintaining and developing my health journey. 🌿🌏

By following the maramataka and using natural way finding wellbeing techniques, we can strengthen our connection to ourselves and the world around us. 🌙💫

🌿 I don’t wear makeup — and I’m proud of it.

The beauty standards for women are insane! Being told that a mask is more beautiful than our collective, imperfect skin makes me upset. Our wrinkles, pimples, freckles — they’re all part of our stories, of how we choose to live, and of how our ancestors lived.

It takes time and patience to get comfortable in your own skin… I’m grateful I’ve given myself that time, in between solo parenting and volunteering for the community 🙌

Our beauty can be a guide, showing us what we want to change or what we need for our wellbeing. Makeup is an art form and a beautiful passion people have — but so is your story. You are important, and you matter.

Happy Mental Health Awareness Week, whānau! 😁

🐴 Riding horses isn’t just fun, it’s healing.

It strengthens our body 💪, improves balance ⚖️, and builds confidence.

Being with horses reduces stress 🌿, supports mental wellbeing 🧘, and is a beautiful way to ground and reconnect with yourself 🌏💖.

Grateful for the way horses care for both our tinana and wairua. 💕

🌞 Had a wonderful day educating the amazing teachers at Heretaunga Intermediate about neuro-inclusion, the lived experience of neurodivergence and disabilities, and ways to navigate beyond the “one-size-fits-all” pathways. Such a thoughtful group with lots of great questions! A memorable quote from today’s kōrero: “You can’t fill a cup that’s already filled.” It was an honor to kōrero with you all. Huge thanks to the lovely Mike King, Heretaunga Board member, for organizing this opportunity. 🙌💬

If your staff would like education on neuro-inclusion, please send us a message at xabilities.com.
