It seems like yesterday's post lit a little fire in some of you from the texts and PMs I received, so maybe there's a few of you who have one of these or similar not in use, or being used for something other than moving your bod 🙄 and need a little help getting back on it.... Come on, whatever it is, life's too short to not live the best version of you 😍
You don't have to do an hour or anything crazy like that, start with 5 mins - that's just 1.5 songs! Over time increase the intensity and/or distance. I promise you will feel better ❤️

Like many I suspect, I felt a bit down the past couple of days since Cindy's latest news on the lockup, I mean lockdown, situation.
I know It's ok to feel these things, hell we're human and feel alot of different emotions for varying reasons and have many triggers.
For me, I needed to get out of my head to get through this, bring in some good energy to release happy vibes. And whilst I'd love to punch and kick the crap out of a boxing bag to release some tension, that is off my exercise list with this concussion 😭🤣🥊
So instead, I make more excuses in my head about having to do other jobs around the house winding myself up more in the process, and leave it to the last possible moment to actually go and do blimin do something... And that finally was when hubby brought our girls home and we all went for a walk around the neighbourhood.
I was finally outside, fresh air blowing on my face, and it felt friggin awesome. I even was getting challenged by little Miss Indie to run with her, so we could beat Georgia who was on her bike. How could I refuse such a challenge! Even though running is technically off the list as well, a wee jog between lamp posts (sound familiar) with a 3 year old did wonders for the soul.
So morale of the story, we in our heads too much, and it stops us from so much... so just get ya A into G and get on with it ❤️👊
PS if anyone needs walking, jogging, and or biking partners - give me a holla!! We don't go far or fast as yet but we're making a start 👍

Helllllllo! So after about three years since my last post, I'm putting myself out here again to get my own A into G!
Today I got the old powerhoop out, put on some groovy tunes, did a bit of a warm up for a couple of tracks and then hooped to a track for four mins... Yikes I could feel my fat crying and it left a big red mark (see photo) but hey, I know it's not going to cause any issues if I ease into this gently, so I'll be giving it another go in a couple of days while I'm still getting used to it again.... Well that's my plan anyway 😜
I hope I inspire a few others to do the same ❤️ Or if not, well maybe you can help support us to get back looking after ourselves again - in body, mind and soul.
I've been inspired and admired what alot of you are doing out there, but since my body has suffered in different ways during and after my pregnancy, I really struggled and always had reasons why I couldn't get back into something, especially with the lack of time I wasn't used to having.
Well now I've got concussion, again, my fourth head injury. So buggar it, enough of the excuses and time to just get on with it.
Ive had to change my whole mindset on what and how I enjoyed exercise before so I can work with my existing injuries, and certain exercises/positions makes my head spin with a concussion... But hey I can do this, and so can you ❤️👊

Sometimes we need to find something/one to help motivate us to get our A into G. We may have gotten off track for a variety of reasons and that's totally Ok!! But when you're ready and willing, you'll know... it's time to do someting about it and make the change!!
That's where I'm at now. My body is totally different after the birth of my twins, I have new aches, pains and strains I'm living with because of it. But that's not going to stop me, I just have to adjust, and start back at the basics.
And here's my motivation to do so... I want my girls growing up to know Mum is strong - in body, mind and soul - to set the example for them to be too 💖💖
Who needs to get their A into G as well? And what's your motivation?? 👊👊

Wow!! Feels so good to get out and do a bit of exercise again after months of not being able to do most things, including walks, during my extremely uncomfortable pregnancy with the twins.

Now I'm physically able to gradually make a start - but more importantly - I so NEED to get out and do something again for my mental wellbeing, despite being so time-poor!!

And the reward at the end is just awesome from feeling that huff n puff from pushing the pram at a good pace and attempting a couple of hills too. Can't beat fresh air and sunshine, and precious bubba cuddles to relax after ❤

It's great for all of us!
So what have you guys been doing to make you feel good lately?

Where has the year gone!?
Some will know that I'm surprisingly pregnant, and with twins 😜😜
Very exciting times but unfortunately I'm unable to continue teaching my Saturday classes. Just getting too big and slowing down!!
However we still will be carrying on with Monday night yoga until the end of the year with the amazing Annette taking the classes.
Normally we do a team event each year too but given my situation have had to put this on hold. Keen to get something organised for next year so put your thinking caps on about some ideas!

Watch this space for when the bubbas are born as I will defo need to get my A into G and get back into teaching and training - miss it - and being around you guys!!
Keep on being active with whatever YOU ENJOY (and eating in balance) 😉 Life's too short to just waste it away blobbing out xx

I've been using Nature's Nurse Rapid Recover Sports rub ever since I used the free sample in my first 10km event at Auckland Marathon - it is truly amazing stuff!! I'm putting in an order this week so if you want to top up or try this incredible product let me know quick!! (see below for special offer pricing)

It's natural, active ingredients I believe make this the best sports rub on the market - forget anti-flam, voltaren creams, tiger balm etc away - get this!

Using pre work-out (for any sport/activity) actually helps warm up the muscles and joints so I can get into a run or just moving better way quicker, and I find a dramatically noticeable difference (for the worse) if I forget to apply it.
Post work-out it eases the strains and recovery isn't as bad with stiff or sore limbs. I've had people use this with fantastic results to help after knee surgery, general back, shoulder, neck, ankle strains and pains - and all rave about it!

I'm now using the Rapid Recovery Family Rub to help with my pregnancy back and leg aches and it's amaze-balls, especially as it contains lavender so can rub around my temples to help relax at night. This isn't as strong as the Rapid Recovery Sports Rub so it's perfectly safe to use right through-out pregnancy and also for your little cherubs if they bruise or hurt themselves.

Special offer for this time only:
Rapid Recovery Sports or Family rub comes in two sizes:
80 gram tube normally $25 - A into G special now $20
Value size 480 ml pump normally $80 - now $70
Bank transfer or cash only please. Thanks, DM :-)

It's been a while since my last post... sometimes it all just seems like there's not too much to share when I don't feel like I'm doing too great at my own training. Have been just so over my on-going injuries holding me back from the things I loved. It all seems so long ago since I could box, hold pads for a client, run an event or even 3km! Hell I've even been told to stay away from my favourite HIIT class at the gym. It all just felt like a continuing downer!

But after a little "hybernation" (is that even spelt right?) I thought, heck DM sort ya self out! A in2 G is about Attitude and Action and goes way beyond just what fitness goals we can achieve.

So rather than focus on myself about all the things that I think I should have or should be doing, I'd really like you guys to inspire me (and each other) with stuff you've been getting your A into G with. It can be anything small or monumentous (another word I think I made up or spelt wrong: meaning huge) and I really look forward to reading your Comments. Thanks xx

Faced my own big exercise phobia tonight and actually went to my swimming lesson which I haven't been back to since signing up four weeks ago.
Managed to do my first full length without stopping (even though it was only 18 metres) but it felt like an Olympic Challenge with my heart pumping like I'd done a round of boxing!! I even did six of them and actually enjoyed it 😉

If you had ten mins to read my post last night youd know that swimming is something that I dont like, so Im trying to face my fear and throw myself in the deep end - literally 👊
