Release and Unwind Therapeutic Massage

We all start somewhere, and every massage therapist once needed that first vote of confidence at a place to develop their skills and experience.

Bridie is our Junior Massage Therapist. She joined us late last year, soon after completing her Sports Massage qualification at AUT.

She's still building experience, but her drive shines through—she welcomes feedback and has shown so much progress in technique and confidence over the past few months.

It's been a while since I've done any events myself, but so glad im here! It's been energizing working with such a nice group of people. My introverted self enjoys coming out of the shell for a bit every now and then 😊

Different setup and different kind of work with chair massage, shorter sessions, yet targeted work as usual for best results!

For a lot of our Myofascial Release sessions, we don't use any oil or balm, or very little when needed, while still working directly on the skin. For Sports, Therapeutic and Relaxation sessions, we use either grapeseed oil or massage Balms.

We are trying a few different massage balm blends from Tui Balms. We have been using their Myofascial Release balm for a while as it has a higher beesswax and arnica content, allowing enough grip to perform MFR in combinations to other techniques.

Love that they come in cardboard containers, so less plastic waste!

Stocked up again on our self massage tools. Softer spikey balls to test out this time as some clients find the others too hard and painfull. And a few smaller ones too to have more options.

Pocket physio is one of my favorites as I can get more specific into a tight spot and to work on my own forearms has a bit more of a grip for myofascial release.
