Mark your calendars - it's our Inaugural Aotearoa Eating Disorder and Body Image Awareness Week for 2025!

Join us and Eating Disorders Carers Support NZ (EDCS) CoRe ED, Redefined Coaching, Carers NZ and Able Minds from 1- 7 September 2025 as we 'Unpack The Why' and explore what causes eating disorders, to spread awareness, amplify voices of lived experience and advocate for increased support. 💜

This year’s theme invites us all to understand the true breadth of challenges that can cause an eating disorder - and while body dissatisfaction can be a significant factor for many, it's time we also consider how trauma, sensory sensitivities, co-occurring health conditions, genetics, culture, family history and other intersections play a role in the development of these complex illnesses. 🧬

Want to get involved this and ?

Stay tuned to our website and socials as we announce more ways you can celebrate this year's Body Image and Eating Disorder Awareness Week (1-7 September 2025)!

Showcasing some of the lovely cards and messages we received from students at St Cuthbert’s College.

This was part of a student led school wide initiative called ‘Cards for Care’ where students wrote cards to provide encouragement and understanding to those currently in their eating disorder recovery journey.

Thanks again to the students who led this initiative and for all of those who took part, such a beautiful idea.
