🌿 Ready to Feel Better in Your Body - For life? 🌿

I work with clients who are ready to feel healthy, vibrant, and empowered in their bodies again — especially through peri/menopause and beyond.

💫 What I Support clients with:

My approach is built on functional nutrition, nervous system support, and habit transformation — not quick fixes or restrictive diets.

Functional nutrition looks at the whole body and asks why symptoms are happening — instead of just trying to manage them.

It’s about finding the root cause of things like fatigue, weight gain, gut, or hormone issues — and creating a plan that supports your body’s natural healing processes.

I look at your nutrition, lifestyle, stress, sleep, gut health, hormones, and more — and how all of these are connected.

I use food and lifestyle as powerful tools to bring your body back into balance — in a way that’s realistic, not restrictive.

This means:
✔️ Supporting your metabolism, not starving it
✔️ Healing your gut and blood sugar, not guessing at symptoms
✔️ Building habits that your nervous system can actually sustain
✔️ Creating a long-term plan that works with your unique body

I also use functional lab testing (where needed) to take away guess work & support deeper healing.

With my background also in yoga, functional movement and breathwork, I bring a holistic approach — blending science and lifestyle shifts that work with your body, not against it.

Spring is the season of renewal — the perfect time to detox and bring more lightness into your body and mind.

In this workshop, we’ll focus on the Liver and Gallbladder meridians, which are dominant in Spring and key to clearing stagnation, detox naturally and move with ease.

You’ll experience:
🔥 Movement to warm the body, get energy flowing well
🌬 Breathwork to build inner heat, detoxify, and energize
🧘‍♀️ Guided meditation & deep relaxation for complete renewal

Although this format can be more dynamic it is open to all levels — I’ll offer plenty of variations so you can work at a pace that feels right for your body.

We’ll finish with herbal tea and a short discussion on ways to support your body as we move into Spring.

For months now, something’s been shifting in me.

When I started sharing my health coaching online, I focused mostly on plant-powered eating and healthy habits — which I still love and teach.

But what I’ve come to realise is my true gift and passion is more about transformation — how we move, how we restore, and how we live in deep alignment with our body’s unique rhythms.

And that’s what my new space is all about.

🌿 Do You Know Your Body Type? 🌿

One of the most powerful shifts I made in my own health was learning my Ayurvedic body type (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha) — and realising that my body’s needs change with the seasons.

As a Vata/Pitta, winter amplifies my tendency toward tight muscles, a jittery nervous system, and low warmth in my body. By the end of the season, I often feel rigid and need much longer warm-ups before yoga, gym, or mobility work.

Here’s the thing…

Most of us are trying to follow “one-size-fits-all” health advice that doesn’t match our body type or the season we’re in.

That’s why we get stuck in cycles of energy highs and lows, or can’t shift stubborn health issues — it’s not that we’re doing it wrong, it’s that we’re doing it for the wrong body.

When you know your type and how to adapt through the year:

💛 Your energy becomes steadier
💛 You recover faster after workouts
💛 You feel more grounded, focused, and strong

This is a big part of how I coach inside my programs — aligning nutrition, movement, and nervous system resets to you, not just the latest trend.

I’ll be sharing more about this in the coming weeks (and inside my upcoming Spring Reset 🌸) so you can find your flow and feel amazing all year long.

🌿 How Are You Feeling in Your Body Right Now? 🌿

As winter wraps up, I always notice my body feels… different.
A little slower in the mornings.
Craving more warmth.
Less motivated to move.

And here’s something I’ve really noticed about myself — by the end of winter, my body gets rigid. My muscles and nervous system tighten, and I can feel that stiffness in everything I do.

As a Vata/Pitta body type in Ayurveda, this season really amplifies that. I find I have to warm up for much longer before I feel truly mobile and ready to move — whether it’s at the gym, in my yoga practice, or just during the day.

One thing that really helps me is daily joint rotations — gently moving every joint through its range of motion. It’s simple, it’s quick, and it keeps my body feeling more fluid even on the chilliest mornings.

That’s why I look forward to Spring so much… warmer air, lighter energy, and movement that flows with more ease. 🌸

But as we shift toward the end of winter (hooray!), it’s a great time to check in:

We hear a lot about inflammation, toxins, and aging, but what ties them all together?

Often, it’s oxidative stress caused by too many reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the body.

Oxidative stress is like "rust" happening inside your body — slowly wearing down your cells, energy, and overall vitality. And the tricky part? The signs can be subtle or easily brushed off as “just getting older.”

Here are some common symptoms that may be linked to harmful oxidative stress.

Possible Signs of Oxidative Stress

Persistent fatigue — Feeling tired or drained, even after a full night’s sleep.

Frequent illnesses — Catching colds easily or taking a long time to recover.

Premature aging — Fine lines, wrinkles, dull skin, or age spots showing up earlier than expected.

Brain fog — Difficulty focusing, forgetfulness, or mental sluggishness.

Chronic inflammation — Achy joints, muscle stiffness, or swelling that won’t go away.

Slow wound healing — Cuts, scrapes, or bruises taking longer than normal to heal.

Skin troubles — Dryness, breakouts, sensitivity, or inflammation.

Worsening chronic conditions — Diseases like diabetes, heart disease, or Alzheimer’s progressing faster than expected.

Headaches or migraines — Often related to inflammation and cellular stress.

Digestive issues — Bloating, constipation, or discomfort that seems unrelated to diet.

Poor exercise recovery — Feeling sore, tired, or rundown for days after mild activity.

Why Are These Symptoms So Vague??

Oxidative stress damages your body at the cellular level — harming DNA, proteins, and fats. The effects show up differently in everyone, depending on which organs or tissues are most affected:

If it hits your brain, you might feel foggy or forgetful.

If it affects your immune system, you’ll get sick more often or possibly develop an autoimmune issue.

If it targets your skin, signs of aging, breakouts, or eczema may appear.
(Oxidative stress will always show up in the weakest chain link first and that typically depends on your genetics but habits/lifestyle also play a huge role)

Worst of all? You might not feel anything until the damage is already significant. That’s why prevention and regular detox support are so important.

So what can you do about it?

Increase your antioxidants

Minimize exposure to toxins (processed foods, pollution, harsh chemicals)

Support your liver and mitochondria with effective detox protocols

Get regular movement and restful sleep

Manage stress (chronic stress fuels oxidative damage!)

Detox is a lifestyle. Just like you do some level of cleaning in your house every day, (dishes, etc) but then do heavier cleaning periodically, (windows, behind furniture) that’s what you have to do for your body to keep ROS/inflammation/oxidative stress to a minimum.

Metabolic health is all about how efficiently your body creates and uses energy. When your metabolism is working well, you have:

Want to Move More Freely in Your Hips — and Ease Lower Back Tension?

Our hips are designed to move in multiple directions — but for many of us, they’ve become stiff, tight, or unstable due to modern life (hello, chairs and screens!).

In my Yoga/FRC classes, we work on restoring healthy hip mobility — focusing on internal and external rotation, hip extension, and building strength around the joint to support your movement in everyday life and in your yoga practice.

Why does this matter?

Because poses like Malasana (Yogi Squat), Pigeon, Warrior I, or Lizard Pose all require healthy hip mobility. And when we lack range in the hips, the body often compensates elsewhere — like the lower back, knees, or ankles — leading to discomfort or even injury.

These classes help you:
✅ Understand where your range is limited
✅ Build strength in new ranges
✅ Reduce hip and lower back pain
✅ Improve functional movement — in and out of class

If we keep moving in the same limited ways without bringing awareness to where we’re stuck, we can end up reinforcing poor patterns and placing more strain on the body over time.

Adding this kind of mobility-focused movement into your weekly routine helps to prevent injury, increase freedom of movement, and support a stronger, more balanced practice.
