🧟‍♀️ How to Outsmart Your 3pm Eating Zombie

You know the one…
It appears around 3pm.
It whispers “just a little something…”
And suddenly you’re standing in the kitchen eating your kid’s snacks like it’s a survival mission !

👇Here’s how to stop the Zombie sabotage

1️⃣ Have high‑protein snacks ready to go
When good choices are easy, you’re far more likely to make them. Prep beats willpower every time.

2️⃣ Do NOT let the zombie make food decisions
Zombie brains make terrible choices.
Stick to the decision you already made earlier in the day, which leads to number 3..

3️⃣ Make your food plan in the morning
Know exactly what your afternoon snack will be - no negotiating required at 3pm.

4️⃣ Try this delicious caffeine + sweet fix ☕🍫
Blend a chocolate protein shake with almond milk, add a shot of espresso and lots of ice.
Boom — iced mocha magic. Refreshing, satisfying, and zombie‑repelling.

5️⃣ Put a mask on when you're in the kitchen 😷
This stops snacking in its tracks! Desperate times, solid strategy.

6️⃣ Stay out of the kitchen
Unless your life actually depends on it.
(And no… boredom does not count.)

Remember: the 3pm zombie isn’t hunger - it’s habit, tiredness, and blood sugar wobbles.

Hubby and I decided we needed to make an effort and do something to celebrate Christmas, as with both of us being self employed, it's easy to get busy and not make it a priority!
So we went into the City for the night, stayed at Crowne Plaza and went for dinner at Hazy Tiger. Such delicious Korean food. Lots of small plates including my fave....fried crispy chicken skin. Yummy salads and meaty plates to choose from too - very easy to stay low carb. There were 2 large cruise ships in the City and lots of people out and about......so nice to see!

At this time of year it’s so normal to feel like you’re missing out when you see people eating things you’d love to eat ...

At this time of year it’s so normal to feel like you’re missing out when you see people eating things you’d love to eat too.
But think about it...

If you don’t eat that sugary, carby treat - what are you actually missing out on?

- Feeling bloated?
- A big blood sugar spike?
- A sore tummy afterwards?
- Poor sleep?
- Fluid retention + inflammation?
- Weight gain?
- Regret?

When you look at it like that,
Missing out is actually such a WIN!

Food is in your mouth for such a short time.
The pleasure might be high, but for how long.....2 minutes?
The after-effects? They can hang around for hours… even days.

So maybe it’s time to rethink what you are actually 'missing out' on...
Because by eating those foods, you are TRULY missing out - on achieving your goal and all the benefits that come along with it!
