The Terraces Restaurant is Hiring Part-Time Wait Staff

The Terraces Restaurant at St Andrews Village is a vibrant, well-regarded dining spot known for great food and friendly service. We offer seasonal menus, a busy café with barista coffee and pastries, and an intimate evening dining experience with à la carte dishes, wines, and cocktails.

Our restaurant has a strong local following from St Heliers, Glendowie, and the wider Auckland community, with most of our business coming from the surrounding retirement village—creating a warm, sociable working environment.
We are looking for an experienced part-time team member to join us. Ideally, you will have:

-Solid experience in a busy restaurant or hotel
-Excellent service skills
-Flexibility to work any day of the week
-A confident, professional approach

We offer ongoing training in barista skills, wine and spirits knowledge, and service techniques. This is not a high-pressure environment but a busy, intimate style of service that allows you to engage with guests.

If you have the energy and passion to succeed in this rewarding industry, we’ll support you every step of the way.

-Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
-Team player
-Open to constructive feedback

St Andrew’s Golf Day Challenge – A Fantastic Annual Tradition! ⛳️

Just over a week ago, we celebrated St Andrew’s Day with our annual Golf Day Challenge at the Pakuranga Golf Club! It was a beautiful morning of golf with residents enjoying a fun and friendly competition under perfect weather.

After the golf challenge, we gathered back at the Irwin Miller Centre in the evening for a Village BBQ and prize-giving ceremony. We proudly awarded the winners of the Men’s Category and Ladies’ Category with certificates, trophies, and a bottle of champagne to toast their success!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event so special. This annual tradition is a wonderful mix of sport, laughter, and community spirit—and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!🏌‍♂️

This morning, we celebrated the start of the festive season with a beautiful Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony 🎄 at the Care Centre.
The highlight of the event was the joyful singing of Christmas songs by the talented children from Glendowie Christian Kindergarten .christian.kindy - they truly brought the Christmas spirit to life.

The energy was electric today at our AI workshop with none other than Matt Ensor - New Zealand’s leading expert in Generative AI.

Our team rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on with the future, learning practical ways to harness GenAI to transform everyday work. From demystifying the tech to unlocking its potential as a competitive edge, Matt made it all feel exciting and achievable.

A huge thank you to Matt for inspiring us and showing how AI isn’t just coming - it’s already here, and we’re ready to embrace it.
