Monday doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

It can be slow.
It can be simple.
It can be one class, one breath, one moment of showing up for yourself.

We’re not here for perfect routines or pushing through
we’re here for steady, supportive practice that meets you where you are.

Some weeks you’ll feel strong and energised.
Other weeks, just arriving on your mat is enough.

Both are part of it.

Feeling like Monday needs nourishing - we’ve got just the thing with Esmeraldas Sound Bath at 8pm. Or uplift your energy with Bens vibrant and dynamic Active class at 6:30pm.

If you’ve been meaning to come back, this is your reminder — you’re always welcome here 🤍

The Wave of a Trauma-Led Session

What actually creates safety in somatic and body-based sessions?

In this conversation we explore the principles behind trauma-led facilitation — moving beyond techniques to look at pacing, structure, and the ethical responsibility of guiding a nervous system safely through a session.

We’ll discuss:
• why pacing matters
• common facilitation missteps that can lead to overwhelm
• how preparation, grounding, and capacity awareness support better session design

This webinar is for practitioners who want to hold spaces with greater safety, integrity, and care.

Facilitated by
Dr Katie Overbury — Clinical Psychologist & trauma specialist
Lydia McCartney — Somatic Psychotherapist & body-based practitioner

Join Lisa for -The Sacred Descent - Cacao · Restorative · Reiki- Autumn Equinox Gathering
The Autumn Equinox marks a quiet turning in the seasonal cycle, a moment when light and dark come into balance, and energy begins its gradual movement inward.
In nature, nothing resists this shift. Growth softens, leaves release, and life reorganizes beneath the surface.
The Sacred Descent is an afternoon of ceremonial cacao, deeply supported restorative rest, and individual Reiki, offered in honour of this seasonal transition.
You are invited to release effort, listen inwardly, and soften into the quieter rhythm emerging within the body.
This is a space to trust cycles, honour rest, and ease gently into the phase that is arriving.
As the outer season turns, we gather to allow an inner turning —toward stillness, nourishment, and subtle renewal.
Limited to 16 spaces.

🔥 Dancing the Dragon 🔥
with Kara-Leah & DJ LadyFem

Saturday April 4

12–3pm

Ready to move, sweat, shake, and awaken your inner dragon? 🐉✨

Join Kara-Leah, with DJ and space-holding magic from LadyFem, for an immersive session inspired by the teachings of Joy Rebel Ta**ra.

We’ll begin with a short Dharma talk to set the tone, then roll straight into Dancing the Dragon, a powerful embodied yoga practice set to a live DJ set from LadyFem. Think yoga meets dancefloor meets deep inner alchemy.

This practice is influenced by Shiva Rea’s Yoga Trance Dance and Kara-Leah’s decades of yoga exploration. It’s an invitation to move with life as it unfolds, to meet challenge, shake things loose, and transform what’s stuck into energy, movement, and freedom.

No dance experience needed. Just bring your body, your breath, and a willingness to play.

We’ll close the session with questions, reflections, and integration.

Come move with us.
Come breathe, sweat, and dance.
Come awaken the dragon.

Investment: $75

International Women’s Day

At HUM we honour all women, including trans women and those who identify as women and recognise the many journeys, challenges, and contributions women make every day.

To those who have fought for equality,
to mothers, grandmothers, and caregivers nurturing our mokopuna,
to women tending to the earth and her precious resources,
and to the brave activists challenging systems of oppression,
we see you, we celebrate you, and we thank you.

HUM is a space where the time honoured practices of yoga are shared to uplift, care and nurture.

To mark this day, we’d love to gift one free HUM membership to a deserving woman in our community.

Do you know someone who uplifts others, could use a little extra support, or simply deserves to feel nurtured? Send us a DM with their name and why you’re nominating them.

Let’s continue to lift each other up both on and off the mat. 💛

50 Hour Immersion into the Heart of Ta**ra
July 21st – 26th

A return to source.
A reclamation of power.
A path of living connection.

In a world that moves faster each day, many of us feel increasingly disconnected - from our bodies, from community, from nature, and from what truly matters.

Ta**ra offers a different way.

Not as theory.
Not as abstraction.
But as a living, breathing tradition that reweaves us back into the fabric of life.

Rooted in Classical Nondual Śaiva Ta**ra, this 50-hour immersion is a doorway for teachers and dedicated students who feel the quiet pull to go deeper, beyond postures and into the heart of practice.

Here, we explore meditation, embodiment, philosophy, ritual, and subtle-body practices that invite you into direct experience of the sacred within everyday life.

This is not about escaping the world.
It is about recognising consciousness within it, in every breath, every sensation, every moment of awareness.

If something inside you whispers yes, we invite you to listen.

This is a journey of remembrance, embodiment, and inner clarity.
A space to be supported, witnessed, and deeply nourished.
A journey back to yourself.

Enquiries welcome, payment plans available.

In a world that keeps asking us to move faster, Yin invites us to do the opposite. To pause. To soften. To stay.

Yin yoga is the quiet conversation between body, breath, and awareness. As we linger in each shape, the surface layers begin to settle and we gently reach the deeper tissues of the body, fascia, joints, the subtle spaces that hold our history. Not to force, but to listen. Not to achieve, but to allow.

In the stillness, something beautiful happens. The mind has time to digest the experiences of life. Sensations, emotions, thoughts, they rise, move, and slowly untangle. What felt loud becomes spacious. What felt heavy begins to breathe.

This is where insight lives.
This is where clarity quietly emerges.

With so much happening in the world around us, Yin offers a way to come back to your body, your breath, your inner landscape. A gentle yet profound opening. A remembering that there is wisdom in slowing down.

Come rest with us. 🤍

Today we pause in acknowledgement of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the tangata whenua of Aotearoa.

We recognise that HUM exists, practices and gathers on whenua that carries deep history, whakapapa and living culture. This day invites reflection on partnership, on listening, and on how we care for the land, for one another, and for the generations to come.

Te Tiriti reminds us of the shared responsibility to protect what is precious, our natural resources, te reo Māori, and the richness of Māori culture, as conversations about its place in our future continue.

As a space devoted to breath, presence and connection, we continue learning how to show up with respect, with manaakitanga, and in right relationship with this place we call home.💛🙏
