Pregnancy & Early Family Care - Auckland DHB

Pregnancy & Early Family Care - Auckland DHB Auckland City Hospital provides high quality health services for women who need care.

Starting pregnancy care – Taking care of you and your baby

It’s never too early to start your pregnancy care. As soon as you know you are pregnant you should contact your GP or the National Women’s Walk-in Centre and find a Lead Maternity Carer (LMC). A visit to your GP about your pregnancy in the first 3 months should be free. An LMC is a midwife or doctor who will look after you during your pregnancy, your labour and birth and will then visit you at home after your baby is born.
