We are a team brought together by Hamish Nuttall, who was also the founder of Naked Bus. During that journey, he learned many lessons, and ultimately succeeded in building an iconic New Zealand company that moved 700,000 people each year. To succeed, he learned you have to be doing the things others are only thinking about. With these lessons, we can help you succeed through customer focused innovation.

Soop is Software as a Service (SaaS) created by Alfredo and his team that solves most problems of restaurant and cafs owners. It connects food hygiene (so)ftware with (op)erations.

The team came to us as they needed a website that showed the story of Soop and how it can save time and money for business owners and generate leads and transact subscriptions.

We are really happy with the website and their customers are loving the software!

There’s nothing more to bring you closer to your customer and with the Bean Merchant, we could do just that.

Bean Merchant is your coffee subscription with a spin: it’s personalised and you can discover the best coffees from New Zealand in one place.

The client had the concept and we redesigned the branding, logo and created the website.

If you appreciate good coffee, we highly recommend you give Bean Merchant a go ☕️

How to Prioritise; a simple tool for you and your business.

As businesses move towards agile, one problem that is still not resolved is how to prioritise across the business. Check out our blog for a 2 minute tutorial in prioritising by finding root causes.

“We've run out of money.” That was the cold, hard truth. It was July, 2006, and I was working to launch Naked Bus, my new startup, in three months. I'd put all my money and effort into it. My then future wife, who totally believed in me, had lent me much of her life savings as well.

We were building the entire IT system that we needed to run the business. And the developers were telling me that there wasn't enough time or money to complete all the requirements.

But we had run out of money.

I went through the “requirements” with a fine tooth comb, and I found that I could have them after the launch.

I talked with the developers, who told me that if we cut out all those requirements, they could deliver on time and on budget.

How to walk in your customer's shoes and provide a better customer experience:

Back in 2006, no long distance bus service took bookings while the bus was on the road. That was because if we did, we would have to phone the bus driver that would have to pull over and write down: “Ana is here for the pick up in Hamilton to Auckland”, and so on - all that manual process was when errors happened.

So we built an app (remember this was back in 2006, there was no iPhone, and there was no App store). We buil the app using Java on a Nokia 6234 (remember those small silver small phones with the snake game?). When the bus driver stopped in Hamilton, he would open the app and see all the bookings.

By enabling our customers to book at the last minute, we increased revenue by 10% overnight. Crazy huh?

But wait, there’s more. More amazing things happen when you put your customer’s first. Check out our blog to read the full story.

Return to form is a holistic physio clinic based in Auckland. We redesigned and rebuilt the website to focus on conversion. One our initiatives was having the online booking visible on the homepage.

We made sure the website was easier to navigate, focused on calls to action, and a very simple but attractive design.

The results were significant:
- Over 12 months, turnover has increased 100%
- Bounce rate dropped by 8%
- Conversion rate increased by 75%
- Time on site increased by 25%

Methwise is a discreet and affordable m**h testing & asbestos testing service. They had a website that wasn’t generating leads. After talking and understanding what the best customer experience was, we built a website where their clients could not only know about their services, but also could easily book in the services and pay in advance.

That itself reduced admin time and increased sales.

Our Story

We believe that your customers don’t want to read manuals or change the way they work to fit your product. You might think they are lazy, but, let’s face it, your customers have better things to do than figuring out how to use your product or service. So, in order to serve your customers better, you must make things easy for them.

That is how we realised that to innovate, you must think lazy.

Which is why we are here. We recognise that solving customers' painpoints is the source of huge competitive advantage. We help businesses to identify their why and their customers' needs.

We then help them build technology to solve the right problems.
