What an amazing day at the first-ever EUNZ2025 Business Summit in Auckland! 🇪🇺🇳🇿
Almost 500 participants, a packed room, and an inspiring line-up of speakers made this event a real milestone in the growing partnership between the European Union and New Zealand.
The Summit was officially opened by Rt Hon Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister of New Zealand, together with Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič and Hon Todd McClay, who shared that trade between New Zealand and the EU has already increased by $2 billion in just 18 months since our FTA came into force!
From agritech and clean tech to AI, aerospace, and infrastructure, the discussions highlighted the incredible opportunities ahead. The energy in the room was truly inspiring with strong representation from all EU Member States and great engagement from both European and Kiwi businesses.
It was a privilege to hear from such an outstanding group of speakers, including:
PM Christopher Luxon, Deputy PM David Seymour, Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič, Hon Todd McClay, Hon Tama Potaka, Hon Dr Shane Reti MP, Hon Damien O’Connor, Hon Simon Watts MP FCA, Lawrence Meredith, Dr Paweł Pudłowski, and Hon Simon Bridges, joined by leading business voices from across Aotearoa New Zealand and Europe.
A huge thank you to the Polish Embassy in Wellington, Ambassador Patryk Błaszczak, Honorary Consul Bogusław (Bogdan) Nowak, and all my Polanz – Polish New Zealand Business Association colleagues for ensuring such a strong Polish presence at the Summit! 🇵🇱
Feeling proud and inspired!
