๐ท Each year, World TB Day reminds us of the devastating health, social and economic impact of tuberculosis (TB) and the urgent need to continue efforts to end the global TB epidemic.
This day marks 24 March 1882, when Dr Robert Koch announced the discovery of the bacterium that causes TB โ a breakthrough that paved the way for diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
TB is preventable and treatable, yet it remains a serious global health issue. Raising awareness helps reduce stigma, encourages early diagnosis and supports better health outcomes for communities worldwide.
๐ Learn the signs, support awareness and help spread the message.
Together, we can work towards a future free from TB.
