Protect Yourself and Your Whānau – Get Immunised Against Measles

Did you know that many adults and rangatahi born between 1969 and 2004 in Aotearoa New Zealand may not be fully protected against measles?

Measles is highly contagious, but it’s preventable. The best protection comes from two doses of the MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine, given at least four weeks apart.

✅ Check your immunisation status – it’s easy to find out if you’ve had one or two doses.
✅ Getting vaccinated helps protect vulnerable members of our community – including pēpi (babies), hapū māmā (pregnant women), and those with weakened immune systems.

💉 The MMR vaccine is free for everyone under 18, regardless of immigration status.
💉 If you're 18 or older, it's also free if you're eligible for publicly funded healthcare in Aotearoa.

Let’s work together to keep our communities safe and strong.
Book your vaccination by calling us on 4190500, or if you are not enrolled with us, please contact your own GP.

📢 Keeping Our Community Protected from Measles

Our nurses will soon be reaching out to patients who have received only one dose of the MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) vaccine.

If you're contacted, it's because you're eligible for a second dose to ensure you're fully immunised against measles. This is an important step in keeping you, your whānau, and our wider community safe.

💉 The second dose is free if you are eligible for funded healthcare in Aotearoa New Zealand and helps provide long-lasting protection.

If you have any questions or think you may be due for your second MMR, feel free to contact us directly.
