Pipetech is proud to deliver our first trenchless relining works in Queenstown for the Queenstown Lakes District Council.
The project involved the installation of 280m of DN150 uPVC Fold & Form liner, a short DN300 section extending down to the lake’s edge and a few CIPP structural patch repairs. Works were completed under live network conditions, requiring careful planning around access, environmental controls, and maintaining service continuity in a high-profile area.
Given the proximity to the lake, additional focus was placed on containment, runoff management, and QA/QC to ensure no environmental impact during installation. The Fold & Form method allowed for efficient installation through existing manholes, eliminating the need for excavation and significantly reducing disruption to surrounding infrastructure and public spaces.
A strong result from the crew, delivered in a technically challenging and visually unreal location—another example of how trenchless solutions can perform in sensitive environments while maintaining programme and quality outcomes.
