Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Christmas Remembrance Service on Wednesday evening. It was a truly beautiful time remembering and honouring those who have passed.

Candles were lit to acknowledge the amazing support of Hospice Marlborough Cancer Society Marlborough Sands Marlborough Wairau Hospital, all our Aged Care Facilities, Celebrants and Clergy, neighbours, friends and other community groups that offer support

We were deeply moved by the number of people who contributed to making the service such a success.

Our Remembrance Tree is placed in our foyer, where families are invited to write a message in memory of a loved one using the cards provided.

A big thank you to U3A for their thoughtful gift this year - we truly appreciate it. Members enjoyed hearing David Buckley share a few words about our history. We are pleased to provide a welcoming space for their meetings and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Thank you to everyone who attended last night's baby loss service.
The shared moment of acknowledging our babies and the ages they would be and the balloon release were deeply moving. We truly appreciate the courage and vulnerability shown by each of you.
It was also lovely to see the clock tower and fountain in Seymour Square lit up in honour of our babies. 🩷🩵

🤍 Pregnancy, Baby and Infant Loss Service of Remembrance 🤍

October is a time to honour and remember the little ones who left our arms too soon but will never leave our hearts.

We warmly invite families, friends, and members of our community to join us for a Remembrance Service dedicated to babies and infants gone too soon. This special gathering offers a quiet space for reflection, comfort, and connection with others who care.

🕯️ Date: Wednesday 15 October 2025
📍 Location: Springlands Chapel, Cloudy Bay Funeral Services, 15 Boyce Street, Blenheim
⏰ Time: 6.30pm

Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, you are welcome to come, remember, and find support among others who care. You may wish to bring a photo, a poem or something in memory of you baby to share in the service.

Light refreshments will follow.

💙🪶 Police Remembrance Day – 29 September

Today, as a community and as a funeral home that stands beside families in times of loss, we pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of New Zealand Police officers who have died in the line of duty.

We also remember those who have passed away as a result of their service, along with all Police staff – sworn and non-sworn, serving and retired – who have died in the past year.

Our thoughts are with their families, colleagues, and communities, and we extend our deepest respect to our police whānau here in New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific.

A day of reflection, respect, and remembrance. 💙

This evening, Sands Marlborough will be holding their monthly support meeting at Cloudy Bay Funeral Homes.

📍 15 Boyce Street, Springlands
🕕 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Sands Marlborough provides a safe and supportive space for parents and whānau who have experienced the heartbreaking loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy, or through infant loss.

With Father’s Day approaching, tonight’s gathering will focus on a father’s grief — creating space for dads to connect and share their journeys.

☕ Refreshments will be provided.
