October is a time to honour and remember the little ones who left our arms too soon but will never leave our hearts.

We warmly invite families, friends, and members of our community to join us for a Remembrance Service dedicated to babies and infants gone too soon. This special gathering offers a quiet space for reflection, comfort, and connection with others who understand.

🕯️ Date: Wednesday 15 October 2025
📍 Location: Springlands Chapel, Cloudy Bay Funeral Services, 15 Boyce Street, Blenheim
⏰ Time: 6.30pm

Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, you are welcome to come, remember, and find support among others who care. You may wish to bring a photo, a poem or something in memory of you baby to share in the service.

Light refreshments will follow.

💙🪶 Police Remembrance Day – 29 September

Today, as a community and as a funeral home that stands beside families in times of loss, we pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of New Zealand Police officers who have died in the line of duty.

We also remember those who have passed away as a result of their service, along with all Police staff – sworn and non-sworn, serving and retired – who have died in the past year.

Our thoughts are with their families, colleagues, and communities, and we extend our deepest respect to our police whānau here in New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific.

A day of reflection, respect, and remembrance. 💙

This evening, Sands Marlborough will be holding their monthly support meeting at Cloudy Bay Funeral Homes.

📍 15 Boyce Street, Springlands
🕕 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Sands Marlborough provides a safe and supportive space for parents and whānau who have experienced the heartbreaking loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy, or through infant loss.

With Father’s Day approaching, tonight’s gathering will focus on a father’s grief — creating space for dads to connect and share their journeys.

☕ Refreshments will be provided.

Cloudy Bay Funerals were privileged to attend the Hospice Marlborough Matariki gathering. The hospice staff do incredible work for the community with over 130 volunteers. It was a very moving time being with families who have been helped by the Hospice.

Ryan shared a deeply moving video tribute created for his grandfather’s funeral - a beautiful example of how they help families celebrate the unique story of each person who has passed. It reminded us that their work is not just about funerals, but about remembering, reflecting, and honouring a life well lived.
