To our valued patients,

We regret to inform you that we’ve had to make the difficult decision to increase our fees. We understand that many households are already struggling with the rising cost of living, and we acknowledge that this increase may make healthcare feel even more unaffordable and inequitable. It is never easy to make changes to our fees.

We want to be transparent with you about the reasons behind this decision. Like many practices and businesses, we are facing rising costs, and government funding has not kept pace—despite recent announcements of increased health funding. While these announcements are a step in the right direction, healthcare has been underfunded for many consecutive years, leaving budgets without adequate investment.

Please know that increasing our fees was a last resort and not a decision we have taken lightly. Your wellbeing remains our top priority, and we are committed to continuing to provide you with the best care possible.

We want to ensure we can continue to support you and your whānau with the healthcare you need. In some situations, we may have access to additional funding to assist patients needing extra support. This funding must be shared across our patient population and funding sources are limited and dependent on meeting certain criteria.

Please also note:
Payment is expected on the day of your consultation, with any additional services paid prior to leaving.
Overdue accounts will incur an administration fee of $10.00 per month.
We offer a range of payment options, including credit card, paywave, eftpos, online banking, cash and Poli Pay (link here) .

Our fee increase will take effect on the 1st September, and the new rates will be advised shortly. Our website will have the new updated fees displayed by the end the week. Visit our webpage here.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Well hasn’t that been a rocky start to November… Counting your sugar intake is a real eye opener on how many grams of additional sugars we take in on a daily basis. For November we are focusing on Diabetes awareness and the promo team are rattling the feathers a bit here at the practice. However it’s incredibly valuable understanding what those who live with type 1 diabetes have to deal with on a daily basis. There is so much they need to account for with every mouth full of food intake so this month we want to share this with our wider practice patients. Our website has a page dedicated to information about type 1 & 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, gestational diabetes and more, resources on management as well as lifestyle changes. We are also supporting the local Nelson Youth Diabetes group to support those living with diabetes in Marlborough with Sneaker Thursday this coming week on the 14th. The local Lions Club will also be hosting a family friendly event on the Sunday the 17th November so look out for more information on this.
Follow the links provided below for our fundraiser page as well as link to our website which contains more information.

🩷🩷 October has been one extraordinary month with our focus being on Breast Cancer Awareness. We're aiming to create more awareness for patients on the menace that breast cancer causes as this does not only impact women, but men too. With a little extra education on how to check your breasts we're hopeful that more patients will get to know their normal and detect any changes early.
Whilst our team took part in a fabulous pink morning tea and all wearing pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, we also want to take a moment and acknowledge those who fought and won the battle against breast cancer, those who are still fighting, those who fought til the end and those who fight with loved ones going through breast cancer treatment. The road to recovery for some can be long and hard with lots of emotions throughout. For those going through this, know that you are not alone and there's support out there, please just reach out.
For family members who wishes to know more about breast cancer, please visit our website or Breast Cancer Foundation NZ website for detailed information. https://www.breastcancerfoundation.org.nz/
