Since 2019, Manu Ora kaimahi have supported this kaupapa, and in 2026 we’re pleased to work alongside Churchill Private Hospital, Health NZ – Nelson Marlborough, Marlborough PHO, and Matthews Optometry to showcase the many and varied opportunities in health.

Churchill Private Hospital is proud to be part of this fantastic initiative (Future of Work Marlborough) supporting Marlborough rangatahi to explore careers in health and wellbeing.

Our team will be attending the Whānau Session on 10 June, including Helen (Clinical Nurse Lead), Anna (Senior Nurse), Biddy (New Graduate Nurse), and Eula (Student Nurse).

Whether you're considering nursing as a career, wanting to learn about training pathways, or simply curious about opportunities in healthcare, we'd love to meet you. Our team can share their experiences, answer your questions, and provide insights into the many rewarding career options available in the health sector.

Churchill Private Hospital Trust are very proud to announce the lucky recipient of our NMIT Nursing Scholarship Award - Caitlin Hawkes Bradding who was awarded her certificate this week.

Caitlin has chosen nursing as a career because she has always felt a strong sense of purpose in helping others. She would be honoured to care for people at their most vulnerable and be a part of their Hauora journey.

She is passionate about making a positive difference in health and valuing the diverse cultures here in New Zealand. She is inspired to become a nurse who can deliver culturally safe, holistic care grounded in equity and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Her long-term goal is to become a registered nurse and then further her career in a specialized area of practise.

Caitlin has chosen a career in nursing because it aligns with who she is and her values and is confident that she can make a meaningful, positive contribution to healthcare in Aotearoa.

We wish Caitlin all the best in her nursing journey and support her totally along the way - Belinda Watkins GM and Helen Foley CM and the Churchill team

Community Donations and Study Grants

As a registered charitable trust, The Churchill Private Hospital Trust is proud to care for our patients and support the health and wellbeing of the Marlborough community 💙

Through our community donations program, we’ve been able to support a range of local not‑for‑profit organisations, and our study grants have helped nurses and other health professionals continue their learning. Investing back into people and services that strengthen local healthcare is something we’re truly proud of.

Are you eligible?
Applications are welcome from:

✅ Any local amateur sports club open to the general public and affiliated with a recognised or national governing body.

✅ Any charitable or not‑for‑profit organisation (including sports associations and schools) that directly benefits the health and wellbeing of people in Marlborough.

✅ Any individual currently employed in the health sector who is seeking to undertake further study to enhance their ability to benefit the local community.

I wanted to share something really special — a beautiful new book by talented photographer Vicky Simpson, ER Imaging Photography showcasing the stunning landscapes of Molesworth Station.

Not only is this book a celebration of one of New Zealand’s most iconic high-country locations, but it also supports an amazing cause close to many hearts — Brain Tumour Support NZ
