Another question we get asked alot is 'What is a knot?" 🤔

Simply put a “knot” in a muscle (also called a muscle knot or trigger point) is a small, tight area where muscle fibers have contracted and don’t fully relax. This can create a firm, tender spot that can feel sore, achy, or even cause pain in other parts of the body (known as referred pain).

Why knots happen:

- Poor posture or sitting for long periods
- Stress or tension
- Overuse or repetitive movements
- Dehydration or lack of stretching
- Muscle strain or injury

How to help them:

- Massage or gentle pressure
- Stretching and movement
- Staying hydrated
- Applying heat
- Regular relaxation and self-care

We have had a few older cats surrendered lately who have required extensive dental work 💔 they of course got the treatments they needed, but we are hoping to recoup some of the costs via a bake sale 💛
