✨Mental Health Awareness Week
🧠
✨TAKE NOTICE / ME ARO TONU✨
Taking notice is the practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness is being present in the moment, paying attention, being aware of your surroundings, and re-filling your wairua 🌿

Here are some ways to take notice today
🩵 Begin your day with a karakia to ground & uplift
🤍 Go for a walk or sit in nature - ha ki roto (breath in) ha ki waho (breath out), listen to your surroundings
🩷 Savour & share the small things or moments in your day that brought a smile to your face
💙 Practice gratitude - focus on the things you do have rather than the things you don’t. Write down 10 things you are grateful for

🧠
✨GIVE/ TUKUA
Kindness, generosity and altruism (acts that benefit others) are all ways that we can give.
When we help others, it gives us purpose and a sense of belonging.
Being kind to others boosts not only our happiness, satisfaction and overall wellbeing, but also the recipient who receives our kindness.

Here are some ways you can give today
🩵 Give a stranger a smile 🙂
🤍 Help out a friend with something they may need, such as mowing their lawn, making them some kai, or offering to watch their tamariki for the arvo
🩷 Let a car into the traffic in front of you 🚗
💙 Volunteer in the community or donate items you no longer need
