After 42 years in medicine, including 33 years at Bluff Community Medical Centre, we farewell Dr Vicky Bickford as she retires. Thank you Vicky for your dedication, care, and everything you’ve done for our community. We wish you all the very best!

Season’s Greetings to Our Bluff Community

With the upcoming departure of Dr Vicky Bickford, we understand there may be concerns regarding appointments and ongoing care. Please be reassured that arrangements are in place to ensure continuity of service at Bluff Community Medical Centre.

Our current and upcoming medical support includes:
- Dr Jordan Baker in-person consultations in Bluff every Monday, with telehealth appointments available on Thursdays.
- Urgent After Hours Service available at He Puna Waiora Wellness Centre Monday-Wednesday 6pm-9pm. We will update the community when this service expands.
- Daily appointments continue to be available in Bluff, with active recruitment of additional clinical staff. Daily appointments are also available at He Puna Waiora Wellness Centre in Invercargill for Bluff patients.
- Dr Daniel Wu returning in May, and at intervals throughout the year, to provide additional clinical support.
- Transport from Bluff (and back) to He Puna Waiora Wellness Centre available. Talk to our friendly administration team for more information.

Flu Vaccine Clinic – Monday 14th April 🩺💉
The Bluff Medical Centre will be holding a flu vaccine clinic on Monday 14th April at the following times:
🕙 10:00am – 12:00pm
🕝 2:15pm – 4:15pm
To book an appointment, please call reception on (03) 212 7337.
✅ The flu vaccine is free for those aged 65 and over and for people with eligible medical conditions.
