New Zealand Manual and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists The NZMMP’s main role is to provide ongoing education in musculoskeletal manual/manipulative physiotherapy.

A wide range of techniques are taught, drawn from the world’s leading manipulative specialists. The New Zealand Manipulative Physiotherapists Association (NZMPA) is a special interest group of Physiotherapy New Zealand and is one of the member organisations of the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT).

The 2025 AGM Agenda, Annual Report and Report Against Strategic Plan will be released in the coming weeks.
Eligible members can vote by attending in person or online.

Four important resolutions are on the table:
• Updates to meet the new Incorporated Societies Act
• Honorarium payments
• Member numbers required to call a Special General Meeting or raise motions
• PNZ’s commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi

We held our first Mulligan in Timaru on the 27-28 September, followed by Mulligan Lower Quadrant in Auckland in the last weekend (10-11 October).

Do you manage middle aged or older patients with lumbar radicular leg pain or radiculopathy? There is a very good chance that their leg problems are associated with lumbar spinal stenosis. In this webinar, we will go over some of the typical and atypical presentation of lumbar spinal stenosis related problems affecting lower limbs. We will also cover the key differential conditions as well as navigating patient expectation, prognosis and management pathways of these conditions.

About the presenter: Michael is physiotherapist who currently works in both Te Whatu Ora and private ACC orthopaedic clinic in assessing and providing management pathways for patients presenting with spine related problems alongside an orthopaedic consultant.
